So that's 3 original members then?

Right.  3 of the 5 originals.  They have 4 of the 5 from their "glory days" (post 1975) which includes Stevie Nicks.

Can't believe we're living in the land of F 452/1984/Animal Farm/Brave New World/Handmaid's Tale. When travel to Mars begins, expect Starship Troopers

This is going to be met with violent resistance but......Pearl Jam is the Red Delicious of grunge/90's alt rock.  I get why they are popular and that a bunch of people really like them but i never really understood why.  Maybe it's just me not being a jam band fan.

Ten is fantastic album that holds up extremely well but I'm lost after that.

Speaking of albums that have held up from that era, I listed to Rage Against the Machine's self titled album during my workout today and that is an album that is more relevant today than 25(ish) years ago

PJ's stupid battle with ticketmaster back in the day really derailed their popularity, as they weren't doing shows and not releasing that many albums.

I guess the Eddie Vedder 50th birthday tour is like making up for lost time.

Mick Fleetwood and John McVie are original members, who do you have as the 3rd?

Fairly sure they are the only two.

I had Christine as the third but I was wrong about that.

Most disappointed I was to not see an artist was when I went to see Public Enemy at the Rave. Flavor Flav had been arrested the night before and didn't make the Milwaukee show. Still a good live show, but not remotely the same without him.

But Fleetwood and both Macs are still members.  Buckingham wasn't even original.

On the other hand, the Yardbirds are apparently still active.  But Keith Relf is dead and Clapton, Page and Beck all left before 1970.

Buckingham joined in 1974. Can you name a FM hit prior to his arrival???? He is/was a key member and wrote many of their tunes. Not the same band without him.

Speaking of which...

At what point do members of a rock band become old enough that it's kinda strange people still go to their concerts?

Depends if they can still bring it.  We went to a Van Halen concert and David Lee Roth is gone, lost, it was terrible.  Others still are able to bring it and perform.

Was that on a Tuesday in ~2000 or around then? Public Enemy was in town on a Tuesday, which is when my radio show was... so, I was gonna be on air and not able to see the show.. but, we were able to meet up with Chuck at sound check and talk for awhile.. I remember going back where the pool was at the Rave, and just choppin it up with an idol of mine.. pretty dope.

That's probably about right. I was at MU at the time, so 2001-2004 is about right.

At the time, I had a foot high green mohawk and wore lots of studs and spikes. When I walked up, the bouncer looked at me like I was crazy and asked "Do you know who's playing here tonight?" I smiled and said "Yeah, Public Enemy, the punk rock of hip hop." Great show, but would've been better with Flav.

Struggling with dinner plans. Wife says grilled salmon, but we had that a couple of days ago and I'm in more of a chicken mood. Thoughts?
