Apart from the obvious need to add one more big (say Theo), I'm a proponent of 'best available'.  I always want better players.  Let Wojo figure out how to use 'em.

Class balance is important. Having a class with only forward and centers could harm us in 3 to 4 years. I think we need at least one guard in this class.

Bailey doesn't come until 2018, my bad. But he is listed in the 2017-18 class on the Scoop Scholarship table.

Michigan State missed out on Malik Williams (Louisville) today, but added a commit from 2018 PF Thomas Kithier. Not sure whether either of those will impact Xavier Tillman or not.

I kinda hope we go SF, PF, Pf, C.

We have enough Guards at this point. In 2017 we will still have Carter, Wilson, rowsey, Hanni, Howard. We will also have a 20 year old Bailey coming in.

But it doesn't look like we are going after much in the way of a C for next year.

I think it's great that Theo is coming in the first weekend that all the kids will be back on campus.  Labor Day weekend is one of the best.  Great chance he'll have a good time.

As someone working with a college athlete just coming off his mission, Bailey will not have two years to bulk up as there is very little free time for recreational activities and no access to weight training equipment. The freshman year will be a year for  reacclimation

Not all missions are created equal. I have no idea where or what Bailey is doing but many use the time to work on their fitness. He will need to get reacquainted with organized basketball, but I trust that won't be an issue.

Correct on the ranking.  Mea culpa. Updated story says he had 8 scholarship offers in hand.  Also, he is apparently still growing.  So doubtful he projects as a wing.

I have have little doubt he'll be a Golden Eagle but his communication will be limited to family on rare occasions. Who knows though, he could meet a fellow missionary, get married and want to stay home. Not uncommon. Let's wish him safe travels wherever he's off to and hope to see him on campus in 2 years.
