TAMU, Knower of Ball

I have have little doubt he'll be a Golden Eagle but his communication will be limited to family on rare occasions. Who knows though, he could meet a fellow missionary, get married and want to stay home. Not uncommon. Let's wish him safe travels wherever he's off to and hope to see him on campus in 2 years.

Name one missionary who was also a four star basketball recruit who didn't end up playing basketball somewhere after his mission.

Yeah I was going to say "not uncommon?"  I don't believe I have ever heard of a top 100 athlete deciding to get married and completely drop a sport after their mission.  He may get married, but he will still play college basketball.  And I am almost certain it will be at Marquette.

Re: B.B. Marriage doesn't scare me at all; Stan still being here is a far more relevant concern.

Question for Jay Bee.

Reuvers and Davison have committed to Wisconsin.  Who do you think leads for Trent, Wright and John right now?

When do we expect to hear about the next commitment?

Recruits are like theives, you never know when they will strike.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Hopefully, not Uganda.

At this point, the soonest would seem to be Theo John in early September, if he would commit after his visit.

I didn't say he would quit basketball. Home is Utah. Lots of options there, especially with programs known to poach missionaries.

Not all missions are created equal. I have no idea where or what Bailey is doing but many use the time to work on their fitness. He will need to get reacquainted with organized basketball, but I trust that won't be an issue.

I saw on twitter that his sister mentioned Bailey will serve his mission in Washington DC.

Reuvers and Davison have committed to Wisconsin.  Who do you think leads for Trent, Wright and John right now?

Duke/Minnesota/MU are in good shape, but things change.

Trent & Carter have long talked of being a package, but lots of kids do. I think there is an appeal to him at UCLA... Duke is the safe choice, but wouldn't be surprised to see him on the west coast

Wright... as this board knows, Dayton is amazing, and I think that might be a nice fit for him.

Theo's a thoughtful dude..I think we're in a good position, but officials may sway his thoughts one way or another

Is there any date on a UNLV visit scheduled? He is at Iowa State this weekend.

2018 F Terrence Lewis (6-6) to announce college choice Tuesday at Milwaukee Riverside.

My guess is that means Iowa State.

WOW! Terrence Lewis will forego official visits & will announce college choice Tues per @WisBBYearbook. That bodes well for in-state school.

Iowa State. I don't think his offer to Marquette was firm quite yet.

How do you do that, offer and take away, or if Plan A does not work, will be happy to have you as Plan B, I would tell them to stick it then.  Iowa St. has been on him
for awhile, and seemed a priority.  I saw him in High School last year, physically not ready nor not sure his talent is either.  Lots of time to improve though.  I am sure
the ex MU players told him ISU is the place.

MU_Beav

Really hope this means there's optimism regarding other, better talent. We need some good news.

Secondly,  if you are making an annoucement to go play out of state, you have a press conference, makes no sense to have it if you are picking ISU, just
say I am going there to the press and be done with it.

Kids have press conferences to announce out of state schools all the time. Not unusual in the slightest

I just hope he doesn't use hats and pretend to pick the Marquette one before announcing ISU.

So, the  Wolverines, never a big player for X Tillman, signed the second best PF in the 2017 Michigan class.

So MSU has now lost out on two of its targets at the PF position.  My guess is that they'll really be pressing hard for Tillman now.
