First we are in for Jonah Antonio who was bad at Mt. St. Mary's and then bad at UNLV and now we're in on Ryan Murphy who was bad at UNC Charlotte and then bad at Pitt.

Great!

The tweets made a point of listing offers and then saying we had  "reached out". We may be kicking the tires but I'd be surprised if it goes beyond that

Which isn't a bad strategy with a short recruiting window like you have with transfers.  You can always back off later.

If there's even basketball ever to be played again, MU's version will be the same product we've chewed on and digested for the past 6 seasons.

I'll rephrase. These are the pools we're swimming in now because impact grad transfers aren't interested in our program.

Can you dribble the ball below your shoulder and less than 3 feet from your body? If so, Marquette has a spot for you!

Currently I'd say there's exactly 3 potential "impact" grad transfers:

Mike Smith (who put up big numbers on a team that went 6-24)
Bryce Aiken (who we've reached out to)
Seth Towns (who hasn't played for two years due to injury)

There's another group of guys who I think could potentially compete for a starting spot at MU, but they are likely 4th or 5th starters at best. Darius Perry is one of them who we've contacted, Marfo who you mentioned is another.

I don't think this has anything to do with having to swim in certain pools because players aren't interested. I think it has everything to do with there being very few pools that are worth swimming in at all at the moment. If we pick up a grad transfer this year, there is a good chance it is to get a player to fill a minor role off the bench.

That doesn't sound at all correct.

Wojo stinks. Program stinks. Players and coaches around the country wouldn't touch us with a 10 foot pole.

That's what I've been told here.

May be nothing...may be something but Antonio follows Presutti on Twitter and vice versa

You're missing perhaps the best one...Jordan Bruner from Yale...provided he doesn't go pro. I'd be ALL over him

I didn't miss him, I toyed with him being in the "impact" transfer group but ultimately decided to put him in the next group down. Might be a personal bias, but my experience with undersized big men from mid majors is that they struggle when they move up a competition level.

All this tells me is that Bruner thinks he's ready for the NBA. That doesn't mean that he is. I could certainly be wrong but my "eye test" as Guru likes to call it, leads me to believe that he may "struggle" (not be as dominant) on a high major roster.

He's a different guy...I mean he's an NBA player...athletic, can score in different ways. I'll tell you this much, he is a MUCH MUCH better player(particularly offensively) than Theo is.
