Honest question:  If you were an NBA prospect and had a chance to play college ball under Tom Izzo or Wojo - who you gonna choose?

Look. I hope we land Mane. But. It's been posted here that we aren't gonna land him. I'd imagine the end of season meltdown all but sealed it.

If everything is equal probably Izzo.  But they aren't equal.

If my plan was to be in college for one year, I'd want the most playing time.  If I was staying for 4 years I'd play for Izzo.  And people write all sorts of stuff here, some have said we're going to land Mane and some have said we won't.

Winning definitely helps with exposure. Look at the Myles Powell vs. Markus "debate"

At MU we can be the man and showcase his talents right away, MSU will be showcasing Joey Hauser!

Who meeds a point guard when you have a 6'10" point forward.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Exposure may help get you in the door, but scouts are so good, they can take one look and know who is good and who isn't in most cases.  You have kids getting drafted in baseball from JC's.  Scouts are everywhere and are looking everywhere.  If you are good, you will be found.

If there's even basketball ever to be played again, MU's version will be the same product we've chewed on and digested for the past 6 seasons.

Jeesh ... who can understand a word you're saying when you write dribble like this?
"It's not how white men fight." - Tucker Carlson

"Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism." - George Washington

"In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." - George Orwell

I do worry about Mane now that Stan has left. I think Stan's family and Mane's family have very similar backgrounds. I think there's a reason why a lot of Stan's recruits were the children of immigrants from Africa.

What's worried me is Mane probably  lost interest by our performing like a BE bottom feeder in the stretch run.

I think people are vastly overestimating how much recruits care about how teams perform the season before they get there.

If they're already committed and signed maybe.

Tyler Herro ring a bell?

I'm not sure what Herro has to do with this conversation.

Yeah, Tyler Herro does ring a bell.  When he decommitted from Wisconsin the Badgers were coming off of a season where they finished 2nd in the Big Ten and lost in overtime in the Sweet Sixteen.

Try again?

I remembered timing of his decommitment wrong.  I thought it happened when they were into their sub 500 17-18 season. It was on eve of that season.

We should be ok Killings and most if the players are immigrants from Africa too

Hope Wojo replaces Stan with a good game coach.
