The Stan Johnson BBQ good luck charm perhaps. Markus paid a dinner visit to Stan's house in between Denver games vs the Lakers and Clippers in L.A. A week later, Markus puts up 3 career highs, gets a start etc...

Markus with ANOTHER career high. 23 tonight to lead all Nuggets.  Had 4 3s in the 3rd, also 4 rebounds and 3 assists.  He was the only Nugget to play significant minutes with a positive +\- tonight.

Interestingly, lot of chatter on Twitter the last few nights about him having an excellent handle.  Funny how he was often criticized for that at MU, but again, I think further evidence of how the offense hung primary ball handlers out to dry a lot.

Amazing seizing of opportunity for Markus. Got minutes when Murray went down and has played his azz off.  Would not be shocked to see his contract converted in the offseason

Hell of a 4 game stretch for Markus. Great for him. Should translate to a real payday either in Denver or elsewhere.

Of Wojo's many sins, I think his greatest is how he squandered a generational talent and one of the top few players ever to play at Marquette. The fact that he couldn't put (or keep) together a roster around Markus is probably the main reason he's collecting the pandemic relief payment.

What sort of options does he have? Will he be a Free Agent like Wes was? Or do the 2-way contracts give the Nuggets rights to him?
