Wes Matthews starting for the Lakers in a victory over the Knicks,  in place of some schlep named Lebron.
+14 +/- for the game, highest on the team.

That settles it...Wes is the GOAT.

Seriously, though, he is one of my all-time favorite Warriors.

Steve Kerr gives Juan some credit for the Warriors turnaround. Juan is averaging 7/7/6 this month and playing 40 MPG.

I try to catch the Warriors whenever I can. He has been legitimately good for the past year. He's shooting 58% from the field and 41% from 3. If he can hit anywhere near that number from deep he's going to stick for a long time. He brings so much value on defense.

Wesley Matthews including the game tying Bucket with 3 Seconds left to send the game against the Knicks to Overtime where the Lakers Won. And Tonight Wesley Mathews had the Game saving poke away from Kelly Olynyk of the Rockets with 2 Seconds left to Win the Game for the Lakers.

Not sure if this applies but Sam Hauser

I'd say keep Sam away from this thread. Keep it to NBA and GLeague players & coaches with an MU degree (ie if Duane Wilson ever gets there) or who finished their college career at MU (ie Crowder, Carlino when he was in the DLeague)

2 games after a career high 13, Markus gets 17 minutes and makes the most of it.  15 points on 5/10, 4/8 from deep.  Kid is finding his stroke

I thought it'd be a transition for him not being the go to player and have to make the most of his action. Great for him!

Great news for Markus. Showing he can be a Vinnie "Microwave" Johnson type player.  Sometimes all is takes is a couple of good games and confidence builds.

Nice thing about this last game for Markus is that he didn't just play in garbage time. Entered in 2Q with Nuggets leading 35-31. Made two 3s, hit a layup, assisted on bucket by Millsap. Subbed out after playing about 5 1/2 minutes, with Nuggets up 52-42. Very nice.

The injury to Murray obviously gives him an opening. I imagine it will be about matchups and particular needs as to whether he plays at all. And then once he gets into a game, it will be about if he's working the offense and not a liability on D.

Always happy to see any former Warrior succeed, and especially happy with one who gave so much to Marquette, as Markus did.

Great news about Juan, too!

Is anyone watching these nuggets games? How’s he look on defense? Do the other teams post him up? Is he taking his shots within a flow of the offense or shooting whenever he gets the ball (which could be what’s asked of him)? I’m curious if anyone is actually watching or only seeing the box score post game?

I'd say the last two could be argued as rushed a little. Certainly the second to last one from the corner. The rest looks solidly in the flow to me.

That last one is rushed but it was end of the shot clock.

It's only two games but Markus certainly looked like he belonged in both of them. Liked the wraparound pass to Millsap for the easy deuce. Hopefully he can build on this and continue to stick to rosters.

Markus with his first career start tonight.  Of course the Nuggets have injury issues but he’s out there next to the favorite for MVP.  Pretty incredible.  I’ve seen a few tweets talking about how he’s clearly won over Malone and how hyped the bench is when he hits shots.  Sure signs of a cancerous locker room presence

UPDATE: He’s currently out of his mind. 7/8, 2/3 from deep, 16 in the first half.  Twitter loving him

7-9, 2-4 3pt, 16pts. He's making the most of this at least in the first half!
