Thanks, BD for blowing up two of the biggest BS narratives in one post.  Well done.   And prayers up.

My deepest sympathy for your loss, Big Daddy.

Also, player T sounds like a real A.
Have some patience, FFS.

Condolences, BD. The "unexpected" aspect always makes it harder.

Sorry for your loss.

The BSer was the same BSer it always is, the one who was "present for Grimes's visit" yet doesn't know what Grimes did on the Saturday of his visit. I haven't had any inside info on the Grimes recruitment at all, and even I know what they did on Saturday night. The guy is as clueless as they come.

And I will trade a chance at a player T for players S and J any day of the week.

Do you know if there is a player C(R) in play at all?

Umm, Wades, are you sure you stated you preference correctly?

ETA: never mind, I think you just stated it awkwardly. I might have said, "I wouldn't trade players S and J for a chance..."

Big Daddy, so sorry for your loss. Cherish your memories, and I hope you find peace.

By the way, are players S and J barbers?
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

Yeah your wording would've been better.  I'll take S and J on my team.  T can try to get out of college ASAP elsewhere.

It seems that DJ Carton has been a pretty fast riser in the recruiting world, he has a bunch of high major offers including Marquette and those guys 90 miles to the west.  I was wondering if anyone has seen him play in person and can enlighten me on what coaches are seeing in his game.  I've watched his highlight tapes and I can see he is a good athlete with a quick first step but at 6' 1" and with a kind of funky jumper I don't see the big stud that the guys over at Scout do (37th best player in the country).  I'm not trying to bash a 17 year old here I'm just wondering what about his game makes him a high level recruit?

TAMU, Knower of Ball

From what I remember, Carton started to blow up when he led his team to the semis of the NY2LA Jam in Milwaukee over the summer. Scored a lot, dished a lot, and IIRC showed some rebounding and defensive prowess despite his small stature. Playmaking guard who could be the whole package if continues to develop his outside shot.

Goose I lost a sibling last week unexpectedly.  Mu is important, but family first.  She had a great life and her husband is a fellow warrior.

Grimes story will have to wait.

Some other items are easier.  Sometimes a hypothetical player say player T makes it clear they want to play with players S&J, but that does not mean Players J&S want the same thing   Sometimes a player will even switch teams to get away from a player.  Coaches know that chemistry is critical.

Was in DC early last week before being called home and I can tell you that BB is very excited about his return to basketball and starting his career at MU.  I did not meet with him, but someone very close to him.

Finally I was told that someone posted something about the players not being warm to QG when he was here.  All I can say is that is BS.....I am really  getting tired of this shi%.  Whoever it was I hope they were called out on it.
Losing a sibling is very tough.  Sorry for your families loss.

Sorry for your loss BD. Hopefully you can lose Scoop as an outlet.

I know someone who saw Carton in warm ups and basically thought, "he is all hype." However when it was game action, his opinion totally changed. He had very high praise for him.

Would Dom James be a comparison?

BD, prayers going up for you and your family.  That is so tough. God bless you all

Thanks Daddy. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks for update on T—knew that there had to be more to the story than overbearing parents, like some here explained, only to enhance their agenda.

brewcity77

Right around when the talk about T's potential decommit started back in March, a number of question marks were raised tangential to the decommit. I may be in the minority, but at no point did I want Marquette to go after him once it sounded like the decommit was a real possibility. Best of luck to him and I'm glad he is likely going out of state for his education.

So.    2018 PG's?

Hear Traci Carter from la Salle is pretty decent. Wonder if he would consider transferring.
