Time to face facts: Sean Jones and Chase Ross could both be as bad as similarly ranked Cam Jones.

Here's hoping the similarities are with Sam Jones, or KC.

With Gold committed, assuming all three commits sign - how many more openings do we have next year?  For the sake of discussion, let's assume everyone with eligibility returns.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

If Greg returns, we are full.

Agreed.   But that is not the hypothetical J5 proposed.

I think its time for Greg to move on, as they need 1 spot for a big.  Two players maybe gone, Lewis and Ellis.  Mitchell hopefully stays, the rest I
see staying.  Shaka is big on retention.  Hope Lewis stays.

I'll be very surprised if Greg or Justin are back next year

Agreed. Justin's showing up on team's boards late first/early second. He gowne.

Wouldn't shock me if EE wasn't entirely thrilled with how this year played out.

In other words, there will be room. For the portal, and for role guys to make a leap. Go get a banger up front and LFG.

Interesting. Every mock draft site I have looked at doesn't have Lewis even going in second round, with ESPN being the lone participant.

Could you provide us with a link/article that shows how Lewis is on the team boards being considered for first round or even second.  That would be great to see.

Nothing will surprise me about any of the young guards outside Kam transferring

I haven't seen Lewis projected for the first round in any mock. The highest I've seen is Bleacher Reports projecting him at No. 33 (third pick in second round): https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2952806-2022-nba-mock-draft-a-shakeup-at-no-1-plus-full-1st-round-projections

Nonetheless, unless he really loves college -- and he might -- it's hard to believe JL will be back.

As for the guards, aside from Kolek and Kam, it wouldn't be stunning to see any of the current group go.

He has.  I just won't be surprised by any transfers (quitters unless they're local kids).

FIFY.

And yeah, I wasn't saying I expected Mitchell or Ellis to leave. Or even Greg, for that matter; who knows what his academic goals are? But I wouldn't be surprised if any of the guards left because Kolek and Kam will get lots of minutes and there are two recruits coming in, too. That's just college sports.

Just for the fun of it I just looked and when Justin Lewis took his official to Marquette he was ranked 132nd in the class.  🤔

I think that must be an outlier report. RSCI had him as a top 100 recruit both before and after his senior year:

72nd in RSCI in summer before his senior year:

Dropped to 87th in the final composite

I think Stevie is pretty bought into his role and Marquette. I would be shocked if he left.

On3 (the site of Shannon Terry and Jake Weingarten ranks the MU 2022 recruiting class 69th in the nation.
This is pre-Ben Gold, though I have no idea whether international prospects play into their rankings.

Keep him second round! Good enough to be some major star power but low enough to give him pause about automatically leaving.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

People keep saying this but then provide nothing substantial. A quick good search of mock drafts 2022 show him not even on second round lists much less first.

Where are all of these mocks???

All the main/credible mocks are still struggling to even have him round two. FIrst??? LIiterally have not seen 1.
