I've never understood the idea that players grow and improve less after leaving college.
NBA teams invest millions of dollars in the growth and improvement of their players and typically have far better facilities and support staffs to help the players' development. And without classes and NCAA-imposed practice limits, players can dedicate all the time they want to getting better.

I see what you're saying. I also see the benefit of being the alpha dog for another year vs being an undrafted free agent or 2nd round pick on a non guaranteed contract. I wonder if the  NBA teams are invested as much in developing those fringe players as much as a high DI college team.

Does JFB's story turn out the same if he leaves after junior season? Jae's?

We R Final Four

Looks like a recruit is here with his mom.
Any ideas who that could be?

Yes. Way more so as a matter of fact.

Do you think JFB or Jae learned more in a 30 game college season than they would have in an 82 game NBA season with the best coaches in the world?

I have no doubt that a player learns more at the NBA level. The real question is whether the player is good enough to get to that point. The G league makes it less risky as player can still be developed even if they are not drafted.

I want Nojus to commit if only because Nojus Indrusaitis sounds like the name of a Roman emperor

I live in Lemont so I'll get the skinny on this kid if Shaka recruits him.

Now I just gotta find someone to go to the games with so I don't get weird looks from the crowd

Agree. I think that's the real question. Does the player have a legitimate shot at a NBA opportunity (including G League).

Anybody at the game,to see who the recruit is with Mom?

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Roberts and Ames would be a nasty start to 2023 for Shaka.  2 big time athletes.

GoldenEagles03

Roberts is somehow flying under the radar.

Likely can play 2-4 similar to OMax. Smooth jumpshot. Uncoachable size. Great leaping ability. Good footwork for his size. Would be incredible.

He has steal of the recruiting class written all over him.

Aside from the rest of his game that looks like it would be a great fit, he's got Big East shoulders and looks to be an aggressive rebounder. Would be a great addition!

He looks like a Florida State wing, who has been coached by Shaka. Dunk everything!

He's a big boy.

More importantly seems to be everything Shaka Smart is looking for.

Humble kid who puts his teammates first and respects those around him. Really hopeful for this one.
