I've never understood the idea that players grow and improve less after leaving college.
NBA teams invest millions of dollars in the growth and improvement of their players and typically have far better facilities and support staffs to help the players' development. And without classes and NCAA-imposed practice limits, players can dedicate all the time they want to getting better.

I see what you're saying. I also see the benefit of being the alpha dog for another year vs being an undrafted free agent or 2nd round pick on a non guaranteed contract. I wonder if the  NBA teams are invested as much in developing those fringe players as much as a high DI college team.

Does JFB's story turn out the same if he leaves after junior season? Jae's?

Yes. Way more so as a matter of fact.

Do you think JFB or Jae learned more in a 30 game college season than they would have in an 82 game NBA season with the best coaches in the world?

I have no doubt that a player learns more at the NBA level. The real question is whether the player is good enough to get to that point. The G league makes it less risky as player can still be developed even if they are not drafted.

Agree. I think that's the real question. Does the player have a legitimate shot at a NBA opportunity (including G League).

Roberts and Ames would be a nasty start to 2023 for Shaka.  2 big time athletes.

Roberts is somehow flying under the radar.

Likely can play 2-4 similar to OMax. Smooth jumpshot. Uncoachable size. Great leaping ability. Good footwork for his size. Would be incredible.

Aside from the rest of his game that looks like it would be a great fit, he's got Big East shoulders and looks to be an aggressive rebounder. Would be a great addition!
