Because its 10th-hand hearsay garbage. If you're anyone with any connections (or just a reasonable human being), you aren't creating accounts to post on other teams forums.

Not in my case.

NickelDimer

Obviously if he was that blown away with IU he would've committed, and if he was that underwhelmed with IU he'd be committing to MU. The fact he's revisiting is a good thing.

He is taking his time, weighing his options.  Sounds like a smart, mature young man and a family helping him sort through the pros and cons of both.

Each have their positives and their negatives.  Campuses could not be any different, school life vastly different, and same with the surrounding environment.  Wishing him the best on his decision.

Are you the guy posting creepy selfies with the Garcia family?
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Dawson and Family making the right call by giving Wojo and staff the last word. He will get to meet the new guys on the team and generally get updated on whats up with the team and our outlook.

MU offers Dawson the best vehicle to realize on his potential. The Triple Trio of Dawson, Justin and Oso  with the bountiful bevy of guard talent we have will  lead MU to the promised land again.

IU went from 12-2 to 13-14.........not even comparable to what we went through.

We went down a hill.......they jumped off the Grand Canyon.

The best of IU's melt down was when they beat bucky in double OT to snap out of it.

I would add that Theo in the middle also frees up Dawson to not have to deal with the 5 physicality, creating a huge 4 mismatch for him to run with.

I agree with this analysis.

Somewhat related recruiting question.  Since you are now allowed to take officials during your Junior year, and then more during your Senior, would it be against the rules to fly in Lewis and Osa?  If the full court press is going to be put on Dawson, would think having them there couldn't hurt.  Don't know if it would be feasible if it's even allowed though.

Not sure. However, Wes and the Bucks will be in town on Saturday. Hopefully it is a weekend visit and he gets a chance to meet Wes et al.

It's Nov 8th-10th. The Bucks are on the road then.

Dawson's dad raved about the tradition of Indiana, and the history of Assembly hall. Seemed most impressed by the living quarters..

And the living quarters, oh my goodness, you want to talk about embarrassment of riches. That was incredible with the basketball court, pickle ball court, swimming pool with the jumbotron, the sauna. That was impressive.

This is one area I fear MU lags behind on...it's sad because they had the chance to have the best dorms in the country all paid for.  >:(

Osa took an official for Madness IIRC so they couldn't fly him in.

I agree when you are trying to get the best players in the country you typically will go up against programs with great tradition and great facilities in all areas......you never know what will make the difference.

If the college town thing is important to a recruit nothing MU can really do about that.

Maybe it's my paranoia...but for some reason, my instincts are telling me this isn't going to end well for MU. It sounds like to me that IU overwhelmed them in a good way. It feels like all we have to hope for and cling to is that the commitment and dedication and loyalty the staff has showed him is enough. That might not do it.

If a recruit chooses pickleball and other amenities over actual basketball, I am pretty certain he belongs at a retirement community not at Marquette University.

Dies anyone under the age of 60 play pickle ball?
The Dawsons Garcias were also wildly impressed by the weekly square dances and pinochle club.
