Let's not jump to conclusions

Not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I like that we are getting a chance to plead our case. On the other hand, I wish he would have known that he wanted to go to Marquette without another visit. Maybe he does and this is so he can do an announcement with Freeway.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Girl: I really like you ALOT

Guy: And I really like you ALOT.  Let's get married

Girl: OK. Great.

Guy: Awesome.  So happy.

Girl: Just let me go spend a weekend in with this other guy In Milwaukee I liked a lot, and then we can get married. OK?

Guy: Ummm...... ?-(

Guy in Milwaukee:   8-)

Which guy do you want to be?

He must be having a hard time deciding

Ellenson Guerrero

Not jumping to any conclusions, but you have to be encouraged by the fact he wants to see Marquette one more time before making a decision. Wojo and staff get another opportunity to rebut whatever negative recruiting Miller was selling.

@JeffRabjohns
5-star 2020 forward Dawson Garcia will make his final official visit to Marquette, his father tells http://peegs.com.

Watch our video interview with Garcia as he discusses each of his main schools. #iubb

Can't see how this could possibly be bad news for us. I will always take the final visit - especially when it comes on the heels of his visit to our biggest competition. Its been reported he loved us after his first visit - why not go back again just to confirm?

Especially after he finished his visit and we have had no movement or whispers about an IU lean.

Edit - the replies from IU fan's on that tweet seem to suggest they feel the same way.

MuMark

Hey we all wish he had committed 6 months ago but that's not how it happened.......the bright side obviously is that he hasn't committed to IU..... which means we either lead or are still in consideration.....which is much better then the alternative.

MattyWarrior

Right you are, when is the visit?

Exactly.
Doesn't mean he won't ultimately commit to Indiana, but it's a good thing that their pitch to him wasn't so persuasive that a visit to Marquette would be a waste of everyone's time. It's not like the kid is just itching for a free trip to Milwaukee in November. His visiting means MU still has a strong chance.

Or that Miller had Langford and Morgan....was 12-2 and ranked in the top 25....then proceeded to lose 12 out of their next 13 games and not even make the NCAA Tournament.........the slide we had at the end of the year isn't even in the same universe as the disaster that IU went through.

IU fan here. Haven't posted in a while. I just wanted to respond to this. This is a horrible argument in this recruiting battle. Yes Indiana started 12-2. They also finished 6-2. A lot of that slide they had was the fact that Archie was trying to find 5 or 6 healthy bodies to put on the court. They led the country in injuries. Langford played the whole season with a torn ligament in his shooting hand. Our starting PG missed 6 weeks after getting kicked in the head. You guys saw how good they were first hand in November last year. Archie is an extremely good coach. All you have to do is go look at his track record at Dayton. I have absolutely no clue where Garcia will go. It's well documented that Marquette was a leader for quite a while. The people I know that actually know anything, have told me that him and his parents were "blown away" on their visit to IU. Kids get the red carpet treatment on a visit. It's one reason that a clown like Tom Crean was able to sign top 5 recruiting classes. Garcia played AAU with basically our recruiting class. I'd say he's conflicted. I believe he's going back to Marquette to give them another look so he can truly compare situations and choose the right school. But let's not make this about Coaches. If that were the case, there is a ton of negative things to say about Wojo. You guys would be better off bringing Crean back.

Does Archie recruit like his brother?

DarkWarrior

There is no way he comes back to Marquette unless he is either truly undecided and needs more questions answered or if he simply wants to say he is coming to Marquette. Otherwise, a phone call would have ended his relationship with Marquette.

No. Lol. We'd land more 5 stars if he did.

My guess would be he is still considering at least 3 schools. I am glad we are getting the last visit and I hope Wojo and company knock it out of the park.

I also hope Garcia and Kendall Brown discuss the possibility of playing a year or two together.

Because he probably likes both schools. They both rocketed past all the other schools. Him visiting Marquette isn't Good/Bad for either side. He needs to visit Marquette again because he hasn't been there in a long time. Then he can compare both situations and make the best decision. I can see him picking either school. I really can. Arguments to make in both cases. I respect how he's handling his recruitment.

Because its 10th-hand hearsay garbage. If you're anyone with any connections (or just a reasonable human being), you aren't creating accounts to post on other teams forums.

As someone on another board pointed out the Henry thing might not even be true. In interviews he had good things to say about Marquette when asked about the Hauser's and has been back to a few games.

It might just be a made up story by IU "insiders".

I've always wondered about the stories that come out from "insiders,"  whether at IU or Marquette or anywhere else, after a visit. They're always like "Recruit's mom LOVED her bolognese but dad thought the burger was a little dry- Dad is reportedly now OUT for IU!!! Gonna be hard to overcome dad's feelings on this one.

On the flip side, Marquette put him in the blue jersey for photos but he wanted to wear a yellow one! Doesn't bode well for the Golden Eagless!!!!!! STAY TUNED, BIG NEWS COMING SOON"

Who's actually leaking this "information"?
