Sure if you ignore the horrific hurricanes and terrible humidity the weather is great.

Humidity is not great in Milwaukee either.  😂

Hurricanes, how often does Miami experience them?

Different strokes for different folks.  Look at UCLA recruits from out of state in non warm weather states and when they are asked why they chose UCLA, the weather comes up often as one of the key reasons.
"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me." Al McGuire

There are only so many spots on the calendar open . The smart move would have been to lock something in with UWM before we completed the r est if the cup cake scheduling.   In fact the way the NET ranking works credit is given for road win. Would have been easy to schedule at their place if our home calendar was booked.

UWM playing a D3 on November 5 we are hosting Loyola Maryland that night. Would have been very easy to have make that date work.

Probably could have made something work on their Dec 3 or Dec4 date as well.

It is not about blocking KU it is about currying favor with the kids parents.

Maybe UWM is playing a D3 to avoid another loss.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Many of us have him blocked for a reason.

Amen!

No chit Einstein. Miami's a place he won't have to pay state tax on his under the table payments.

Heck, you look at one bid leagues, almost everyone is playing 2 non D1 games. Cost is cheaper than playing a home in home series.

It is actually so ridiculous that one laughs aloud. But when you step back it is very pathetic.

I think I'm getting dumber just reading this thread lately. Please, please, back to some actual recruiting news. And soon.

Agreed

Here is a very respectable research report on ten top uncommitted 2020. I still think Alex Antetokounmpo is a worth taking with our last scholarship or a  Preferred Walk On.

I saw this earlier today and thought the exact same thing. I mean...even if someone generally disagrees with you, that was about as mundane as it gets.

So, like... are we covering any recruiting news anymore or is this just a place to air grievances and talk about prospects we are not recruiting?
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

As soon as there is news, I'm sure we will. Of late, the only recruiting updates are that we aren't getting Jalen Bridges, we aren't getting Nimari Burnett, we aren't getting Chibuzo Agbo.

Hopefully we'll hear soon about a decision from Osa Ighodaro and trimmed lists from RJ Davis, Dawson Garcia, and others that have us on them. Until then...Happy Birthday, Darlinstone?

Now this is funny.

Herman Cain

Coaching Clinic at Stepinac on September 20. A very interesting group of speakers, who seem to be correlated with offers to RJ Davis.

Gabe Madsen has setup 4 official visits: Xavier, Cincinnati, Minnesota and Northwestern.

Will Marquette be number 5?  Will Marquette offer Mason Madsen, like Xavier and Cincinnati have?

After Hausergate, I'm not sure I'd be too excited about the whole brother thing. ;)

But seriously...my wife knows their dad, and the sense she got the last time they talked was that MU had shown very little interest in Mason. Maybe that has changed, but I doubt it's Plan A.

FWIW, the dad is a really good, down to earth guy.
