I guess it’s safe to say that no recruiting prospect has ever picked #mubb because of Milwaukee’s weather....    ;)
Derrick Wilson for sure did

Did not hurt, but doubt he selected MU for the weather.

I think it's because we associated his name with "D1 athlete"

ZFB doesn't.

#clap

It's early.. we got time.. give it another 5 weeks and I'll start getting uneasy maybe a bit...

PS - Dawson Garcia is gonna play in Hardwood Elite: The League in September.. basically, they put rosters together from the player pool and try to keep things fairly balanced from team to team.. two of our Late Night Hoops kids played last year, but were only coming off their 15U seasons.. did a good job, but should be a fun four weeks of bball in the Twin Cities... hope one of our guys teams up with Garcia... church

Looks like Wojo got out maneuvered badly by Self in the Patrick Baldwin recruiting battle.

UWM schedule came out today and lo and behold Kansas is on their schedule Dec 10 . Most likely part of a home and home . How convenient. Kudos to Self and company.

If there was ever a year to schedule UWM it was this year. Can't believe our guys screwed that one up. Being in the same town it would have been easy to find a date that could work. Especially since MU only has 12 non conference. And oh by the way, UWM had to schedule a couple of d3, NAIA to make their schedule work.

An unforced error.

Yeah I’m guessing that would’ve given us a shot with Baldwin.  ::)

Baldwin is likely never coming to MU no matter whatever scheduling or whatever else.  He is going to a blue blood.  No error, just avoiding wasted effort.

You've got it all figured out.......if MU had only scheduled UWM we'd be in great shape with Baldwin!

MU has to at least make a good faith  effort. Doesn't cost a thing to do it. Shows good will to the recruits  dad. This stuff is done  all the time, as pros like Self demonstrate.

Well, it does help that Self has the KS name to sell.

I will say, that some blue bloods have been known to do home and homes with lesser schools to a. get their players road experience early b. get closer to home for a specific player. Duke doing a home and home with Northern Iowa comes to mind.

That being said....I will be very surprised if Kansas ever plays in Panther Arena.

LOL.  Baldwin was never ever ever coming to MU and I don’t care who the coach at MU is, not happening.

Xavier picks up Colby Jones.  Recruiting class now ranked number 2

https://twitter.com/EvanDaniels/status/1161744089706106881

https://247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Colby-Jones-Xavier-commitment-Travis-Steele-Big-East-versatile-top-125-134446048/

This is the kind of kid, along with our Markus, who really defines “student-athlete.”
Hard to root against these kids. Colby Jones actually seems to stress academics well ahead of basketball....given today’s landscape, that just blows me away.
Congrats X!
Zenyatta has a lot....a lot... of ground to make up. She gets there from here she’d be a super horse......what’s this.....Zenyatta hooked to the grandstand side....Zenyatta flying on the outside....this....is...un-belieeeeeevable!...looked impossible at the top of the stretch...
