Update: Tipton got this from another account, so it could still just be speculation.

I think the hope for Grimes would be playing anywhere from the 1-3, and five guards seems reasonable in a 3-guard rotation.

Huh. My assumption was that Tipton was a service used by recruits. Do they just make images for recruits without running it by them?

That's why I felt it was reliable. In the past, Tipton has always put out stuff that was shared with and by the recruits themselves.

In this case, it looks like another user created the graphic and Tipton shared it in their Instagram story.

Don't be that guy tower. You're better than that imo. That's a cheeks level post

Why shouldn't Self and Wojo be held to the same standard?   Or are the players not being held to the same standard?  Grimes is a malcontent, Sam and Joey are great guys who can't coexist with a teammate

Except, no. To say comparing their situations, Sam's in particular is a stretch would be a pretty big understatement

Yeah. Sam was never expected to be as good as he became at MU. And Grimes was expected to be better than he was at Kansas.

So Wojo did a better job.

It came from this article. Basically they said he included Marquette originally so there was interest at one point. But no clue if there is still interest.

Nice numbers.  If he was 6'7, yes.  How many more guards does MU need?

Don't see the fit for Mathis but any guy who can hit 100 threes with over 40% accuracy has a role on virtually any team. If Wojo and Co wanted to add him, I certainly wouldn't complain.

To be clear, with Symir now in the fold for 2019, we have just 1 scholarship remaining for next season, correct?

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Add Mathis and redshirt Dexter...?

If hey are going to use the last scholarship...my top preference would be Grimes, if that ship hasn't sailed. After that, at this point, might as well hold it incase there's a really good mid season transfer you want to take. However, 5 scholarships for 2020 seems excessive and doesn't lend itself to great balance.

It's highly unlikely that all 5 would go to kids in the same class

Exactly. There's a good chance we'll land another traditional or graduate transfer.

I agree, but I could also see a 5 person class with a redshirt.

+1. Fortunately for Crean, the Peter Principle can also apply to ADs and school presidents.  People who have reached their level of incompetence tend to hire people with a similar profile. Lucky him.

Yeah, they've certainly made a mess of that football program.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
