Otzelberger should have been hired for sure.  He would have stayed for a long time and he has connections in junior college and other places.

I mean...he pretty much was hired. But Milwaukee didn't allow a no-backsies clause.

I don't know about that.  If you're a good young coach, there is no reason to stay somewhere like UWM for a "long time".  Their loss, he has Mike Daum at SDSU, bout to make his 3rd straight NCAA, and likely will jump this year to a bigger job.  Nebraska maybe?

Anyone know if Jackson and Torrence were at the game?

Don't know but MU can't provide tickets to a road game.

Did not know that,  but seems like another stupid rule

Any ideas where we are with Sibley?  Who is hot on his trail?  Are we getting serious consideration?   For those that have seen him play what are his strengths?

Symir is a Big East bodied-guard in the Nova style, with the skill set to go with it.  I think he signifies how MU is evolving its recruiting strategy--both in athleticism and geography.

Burnett took an unofficial to Michigan yesterday.  I'm sure he crossed them off the list after that performance.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

Anyone notice the Vermont Academy website lists Symir as a 2019?  Also in the picture I posted above everyone holding something is a senior including Symir...

Their 1/31/19 game recap lists ST as a 2020 Marquette commit(?).

Thanks for posting....damn! Those are some quick feet! Love it.

The feet and some of the transition passes make me think he could be special. Could be some turnover issues to start, but man the talent is there.*

I've watched a few of his games on video.......was impressed that he didn't turn it over hardly at all.

I thought his Marquette visit was official.

The visit in the fall was unofficial......the one he just made was official......he has been here twice.

Symir is #4

One important consideration is the kids in Symir's league are generally older and physically mature. So all the more impressive given that he is not necessarily old for his grade .
