I think you're being a little rough on TAMU and maybe even 82. Their eyes have been wide open for awhile.
Projos often rag on posters who only show up after losses, but there are also some high volume Wojo guys who stay away when we're not winning. And when we do win, the first thing they'll say is, "Where are all the Wojo haters now?" Sometimes I think people like Wojo more than they like the program, or at least that their desire to be right about him trumps any happiness over the actual success of a win.

Glad the posters who find glee in Marquette basketball losing are able to do so though. Happy for you that your 2020 is going so well.

Not being rough on them. Legitimately wondering where they are as they are among Scoop's most prolific and longstanding contributors. I wouldn't mind getting their takes and sales pitch as it relates to having a more positive outlook on the state of the program.

Sometimes things in life are more fulfilling or important than coming here to rehash the same old with a lot of typed words in an internet pissing sword fight, especially with posters with the multiple handles. 82 and Wades were on yesterday. Wades has a name change.
Furthermore, calling TAMU and tower "high volume Wojo guys" is laughable.

My bad. Didn't realize you changed your name, and I don't visit SuperBar topics often. Feel free to weigh back in on actual games, rotations, etc.
Good idea on the name change. We need Mane quite badly! As Cheeks has told us, it's a guards game, and would be very helpful to add a stud like Mane to help offset loss of Markus.

I didn't call them that. They don't usually have strong opinions one way or another. They along with 82 generally choose to take an optimistic outlook. Just wondering where their current mindset is at this time.
Tower's absence was noticeable.
I PMd tower wondering where his post game thoughts were as I needed a little optimism. No reply ?-(
TAMU is a good poster and realistic. He has given Wojo a lot of rope, but he is a good fan.
MU82 is optimistic in a good way. Again, 90% of the time no problem with Mike, in regards to ball opinion.
What's worse? Posting less after a loss or posting more?
I miss Tower's recap and WC's GIFs.

It does seem like some of the more projo posters have gone more silent recently. Maybe...just maybe, they are starting to see things for what they are and what some of us saw years ago. Reality sucks, but this is where we are unfortunately.

Regardless of what Pro/No Jo, he will be the coach next year. Accept it and move on. No one is letting Dawson, Lewis and Osa and potentially Mane get away.
I would assume the Projos are avoiding the cesspool.
Dr. Lovell was one of the Eucharistic Ministers at mass this morning. I thought a fire WOJO during a lull in the signing was appropriate but the wife said no. Opportunity lost I think.

I would take a wager that he is not the coach next season. New jobs are job security, losing in year seven is not. If he ever got fired from MU he is an assistant for rest of career.
He has a chance to set his family up for life if he can hack another 6-8 years as a HC and should be on his mind.

One of the main points I try to make.
People who post after a win to discuss the game, and critique the good and the bad are not equivalent to those who post after a loss and do nothing but trash the coach and players( many of whom are playing through injury no less ).

If he lands Mane, highly doubt he would leave on his own, even if we miss NCAA tournament, and no way I see MU letting him go. Ultimately, Wojo isn't a quick study, but he is a grinder, and the hope would that after 6 years and seeing how letting one player be ball dominant is a formula for disaster - he'll become a better coach. This is the best we can hope for..and it is possible.
Does every response on Scoop now need to be categorized as either a pro-Wojo or anti-Wojo?
Other than the Providence result, every game has gone the way it was projected to (I would have thought we would have lost to Nova and beat Providence).

When there's a concerted effort after every loss to campaign for Wojos ouster? Then yes, people that disagree with the wisdom of canning Wojo will challenge the rationale used to support the argument that Wojo need to go, and point to the potential negative consequences of his departure, such as losing recruits and the prospect of another rebuild. It's a critical debate, and one worth having.
I was out last night, but ... Scoop is a miserable dumpster fire after a loss. Why would anyone who doesn't self-identify as a masochist want to come here?

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with this, but I do feel it needs to be pointed out that this is not necessarily true. I would have to research it more in depth to go back some years, but one recent example of where it worked just fine is Purdue with Carson Edwards..he had a usage rate higher than Markus(or very similarly) and they damn near made a Final Four. I'm certain there has to be other examples in years past where it has worked just fine...It comes down to the Coach making it work. Matt Painter seemed to, right??

I'm still holding out hope this thing turns around. But the talent level on this team does not appear to be good enough for Wojo to be able to get them to the tournament. If he cannot do it, Goose's theory of him leaving because it is his best option before the posse gets him is as good as any.

It isn't the biggest argument, but it is one of the deciding factors, along with starting from square one with a new coach and a new system.
Wojos tenure has been a mixed bag on many fronts, so there's arguments to be made both ways. Unfortunately, some people are promoting the narrative that the team has epically underperformed due to Wojos leadership. Their claims are not supported by the evidence in the historical record. He hasn't been great and he hasn't been terrible.
If some people would simply acknowledge that fact, maybe it wouldn't be so hard for them to understand why some other people reasonably believe this incoming recruiting class has earned Wojo more time.
Therefore, in my honest opinion, the potential costs of firing Wojo outweigh the potential benefits.
What's so hard to believe?

Cuonzo Martin, Ben Howlund and Shaka Smart
Top paying job, national recruiting base, NBA arena? Gee I don't know? I'm not sure who would be interested this time, but last go around, all of the head coaches on the carousel made themselves available for Marquette.
Not moving on from mediocrity because, it's too hard to find someone or if they're really good they'll leave is a pretty lame reason, even for you.

Do you hear me saying I'm OK with mediocrity?? Do you think this incoming class is mediocre?? Especially if we get Mane?? I already conceded that Wojos tenure has been a mixed bag, and that it took this top ten recruiting class to put me solidly in favor of retaining him. This season was FUBAR once the Hausers left and the injuries started stacking up. If Wojo salvages an NCAA appearance that would be another point in the plus column. I won't give him extra credit if he wins one game in the tournament then loses. It's just one game. BFD. If they win two or three, sure.
If they don't make the tournament it's another point in the minus column but that's all it is. The Hausers leaving made that outcome highly likely.

There are some very fine people on both sides.
I guess the way it turned out everybody wins except this years team.
Sam gets a year to rehab his hip and play at Virginia.
Joey gets a year to grow up and play at Michigan State.
Markus gets another year to showcase himself.
Wojo gets to use Markus as a recruiting tool for another year.
I Hope the other guys on this years team get something more than a consolation prize.

Congrats TAMU! Happy for you. Get some rest and enjoy this special time in your life.
Also appreciate the concern, Ners. I've been around, even commented a little in a few threads that had nothing to do with the game.
Going into the season, I expected us to be 12-4 overall and 2-2 in the conference at this point. We are all of one game worse than that due to the OT loss to Providence -- apparently the only upset all season in all of college basketball, and the worst defeat any of the 350 D1 programs have suffered in several decades.
So I feel no differently about Wojo or the team today than I did 2 weeks ago or 2 months ago. And it gets exhausting discussing this same subject over and over and over (and over) again with those whose minds were made up long ago.
I come to Hangin' at the Al for recruiting news, injury news and the like, and I also come here to have a little MU hoops related fun. For me, it's not a very fun place after we lose, so I focus my time and energy elsewhere. I haven't even clicked on most Hangin' threads since Providence.
I hope you and all other Scoopers join me in rooting for a more fun environment on this site after Wednesday's game vs. Xavier.
Oh, and a huge congrats to TAMU and Mrs. TAMU!!!!

TAMU!!!!

Well said Brother MU, well said.
I have tended to stay distant in recent days due to the flood of Wojo criticism. While I share some of the concern, at this point we have to wait until season's end to see where we are. In the meantime, I do wish we could tone down the rhetoric and hope for the best this year.

Shaka, Howland & Martin specifically.

Sounds good to me. Looking forward to a win Wednesday night. Big game for us!
My preseason expectation was 10-11 conference wins, with the potential to win 12+ games and contend for a Big East title if:
• Last season's returning core (Markus, Sacar, Theo, Ed, Jamal, Brendan) stepped up
• The newcomers (Koby, Jayce, Greg, Symir) added athleticism and depth
• Three-point shooting didn't drop significantly (from 38.8% to around 36%)
• The team took better care of the ball (reducing TO% from 239th nationally last season)
• Free-throw rate increased, leading to more open looks inside and on the perimeter
• Defensive efficiency improved
Right now, Marquette looks more like a NCAA bubble team than anything else. Inconsistency rules. Impressive wins like Purdue and Villanova have been followed by disappointing losses. Encouraging signs (team 3PT% currently ranked #5 by KenPom, free throw rate ranked #18) have been tempered by struggles in other areas (2-point FG%, turnovers, rebounding).
The next few games should be telling. All three -- home against Xavier, at Georgetown, then home again against St. John's -- are winnable. If MU can get some momentum and confidence on its side, there's still a chance at a top 3 Big East finish. If not, 8 or 9 wins looks a lot more likely.

All reasonable, M92.
I agree this next 3-game stretch is important. 3-0, we're in business ... 2-1, still waiting to see what we really can put together ... 1-2, extremely disappointing. (I won't even mention 0-3 as a possibility.)
The next three MU games should be W's. Really no excuse if they do not go 3-0.

Funny thing about winning a national championship. Or even a FF or elite 8 - buys some goodwill, a little leeway and gives a coach capital to spend if he needs it. Three "no NCAAs" and 2 first round blow outs don't do that.

That's nice that you are emotional out of it....it's a simple question he asked. How does a championship coach lose those games? Hmmm. But but but he won last year so it doesn't matter what he does this year.
And now year one is a no NCAA...love it....yes, he didn't get to walk into a tailor made scenario like Buzz did, instead he walked into a crap situation that Buzz made. So yeah, some of those No NCAAs have a lot to do with the roster left behind.

I totally understand that, Lenny, and I would take Bennett over Wojo in a nanosecond.
But if we can look at a 3-game stretch for MU and say losing any of them suggests horrible coaching, why doesn't losing by 29 points to Purdue suggest something, especially when coupled with losses to 3 other mediocre teams?
I'm not comparing Wojo to Bennett. I'm just comparing the mindsets. I guess you've already answered the question, though. It's all good!
I don't know if y'all have noticed that I haven't visited the basketball threads recently, but here's why: even though I have put many of the more egregious posters on Ignore, it is simply not worth wading through all the vitriol, mean-spiritedness, and outright stupidity to get to anything that I would want to read.
FFS, we soundly beat a top-ten team, and some of you still found reasons to post harshly negative crap during and after the game. Every single thread, even if it starts out as reasonable discourse (like this one), devolves into a name-calling, dick-swinging argument about the same topics over and over again. This isn't a Marquette fan site any more. It's a Marquette bashing site. Fans of our opponents who visit this site must laugh their asses off, and I don't blame them.
I don't need to waste my time reading the posts of armchair coaches, failed athletes, and straight up idiots who have nothing constructive or insightful to say. It is possible to criticize without being hateful, but most of the recent posters on Scoop have chosen to forgo that route. I know several other folks who used to be very active on Scoop who don't even log in anymore, and they were some of the most incisive, entertaining posters.
I am forever grateful to the mods for creating this site, as I have derived a lot of pleasure from participating in it. But they have allowed it to be taken over by its most despicable posters. Perhaps they don't mind, or may even agree with those "fans". But if they want to return Scoop to the days when fans could have reasonable conversations, may I humbly suggest that they put the worst offenders (and we all know who they are) on a very long break and allow the site to mend itself.
Didn't notice butt would've figured ewe, Pa, Lovell, and Woj were all on a conference call trying ta find street parkin' closer dan 6th and Brown, hey?
Missing Scoopers: There is a reason some of us don't bother showing up and posting multiple times on the same topic where two or three posters over and over and over start threads of some sort of Wojo being fired, replaced, etc.
Not worth our time, especially where the posters don't understand their own illogical "bias confirmation" mindset. The confirmation bias on here by some is off the charts. Acknowledging it is the first step to a more reasoned analysis. MU82's post is but one example of trying to point this out to a poster.
Not worth the time since it is not going to happen, as the program is doing well. I understand there are those that only care about winning and that is fine. But a lot of us are not going to debate the same issues over and over and over. Hence, why this poster doesn't show up in each of these threads that get started after a loss.
Thank you for voicing this Chick.
I come here mainly to learn and gain insight from the Hangin' at the Al boards since I feel most posters have far more to give than I do. Thus, it goes unnoticed when I leave many discussion topics unread these days. But I assure you, there are far more people like me who are going unnoticed that simply stopped reading because of all the nastiness that goes on here.
While we all want the team to win, there are far more important things in life than college basketball and the wins/losses. It seems people have lost sight of that and let the losses control them too much and don't appreciate the wins. It's probably a metaphor on life... or something like that. Who knows, maybe many of these "troublesome" posters aren't like this in other areas of their lives.
I hope the team continues an upward trend, but more so I hope we all find real satisfaction in what makes us happy (as long as it's not the team bombing just to be right/get your way! ;) ) and we share that joy with others.

The highest volume posters are pro Wojo. The posters who start the most threads are pro Wojo. What I think you're seeing is that more and more people seem to be getting frustrated with Wojo, not that one or two disgruntled fans are taking over the board.
As far as the confirmation bias, you're 100% right, but it's a two-way street. We all do it, regardless of our views on a particular coach, player, opponent, etc. People always find what they're looking for.
Maybe Scoop should only allow 10 posts per thread or per day. That would definitely cut back on all the redundant conversations, and we might actually see a thread or two stay on topic. Sadly, a few here might lose out on their primary hobby.

But seriously, this is the worst five year stretch MU ball has had since Scoop started in 2006. Things were bound to get increasingly negative, especially since that stretch came on the heels of our best run since Al. No real surprise there. Things will get more positive when MU has more success. Until then, there will be those who complain, and those who complain about the complainers.

Maybe instead of banning anyone, we could just limit all individual posters to like 5 or 10 posts a day. I can't think of anything about MUBB so important to say that I need to say it more than 5 times in a day, or something that hasn't already been said in the other 120,000 posts in the last year. Or maybe relax that in just the gameday threads or something. Just a thought?

You are a member of a lot of secret MU ball clubs. Well deserved, you are one of the good ones!
Warriorchick, while I agree with the good intent of your post, and the part about extremely negative posters, I don't believe in bans or stifling of debate regarding Wojo. If people can start from a point of agreed upon facts, and not exaggerate those facts or cherry pick from them, a civil, appropriate, serious and necessary discussion can occur. This is a Marquette fan site, and the head coach in a pivotal year is a worthy topic for discussion , as are the players. If people would constructively critique Wojo and the team, rather than constantly criticize, they might even find their arguments being received more openly. Many already do this.
There are a few though, or maybe more than a few who go into full trash mode, with caustic and vitriolic attacks directed at Wojo, the players, and any poster who attempts to counter their borderline hate speech.
Name calling and insulting people for their views is where the mods could and IMHO should exercise their ban hammer muscles.
I appreciate your call for the board to be better and I fully support the sentiment.

This right here. Not sure why people get so bent about disagreements and differing opinions. Maybe everyone should just respond to every post with: "I agree." Sure would be a vibrant and dynamic board.
P.S. Those of you who are staunch Wojo backers, you aren't any bigger or better fans than those of us who are frustrated. Your side just has lower expectations from the MU program and seems content with a 30-50ish type of team. If that weren't the case you'd stop trying to rationalize why we can't crack the Top 25 or haven't won an NCAA game under Wojo.
It's not the negativity that gets to me, it's every f*cking thread devolving into re-litigating some issue in the past, even going back to the Crean era.
If that went away and we could focus on this year's squad, it'd be a much more readable board.

I don't care if there's a topic I don't agree with or a Scooper's viewpoint I disagree with, but maybe the mods could implement a rule stating that the posting of multiple threads on the same topic by the same Scooper mandates a 30 day ban. I find posts like this frustrating.
With just 4 Big East games under our belt, it's waaayyy too soon to draw any definitive conclusions on the season. There are still 14 conference games left to play -- more than 3/4 of the schedule. I think this team still has the potential to make a run at a league title, a Top 20 ranking and a 4 or 5 NCAA seed.
I supported Wojo's contract extension -- but I wouldn't call myself a staunch Wojo backer. I'm a staunch backer of Marquette basketball. The way last season ended was gut-wrenching. I'm very concerned about the inconsistency from game to game this season. I don't have lower expectations for the program. And I'm not content with a 30-50ish type of team. (I'd be surprised if anyone who posts on this site is; I can't stand unfounded statements like this.)
To be clear, I expect Marquette to rise to the level of a Top 20-25 program -- year in, year out. National titles should be the goal, rather than just making the tournament. If a private Catholic university like Villanova can do it, I see no reason why MU can't.
I simply disagree that it's 100% clear, without a doubt, we've already seen the best Wojo has to offer. That's an opinion, not a fact. I disagree the program has shown zero signs of progress under Wojo. I disagree there's no chance this team will raise its level of play. And I disagree that any of the constant comparisons between Wojo and past coaches (Deane, Crean, Williams) are at all relevant.
It doesn't make me right. It doesn't mean my mind is forever made up about Wojo or the future of the program. It doesn't make me a better fan. They're my own opinions, based on what I've seen and learned in my 30+ years of rooting for Marquette basketball.
The next few games, and the rest of the season, will tell us a lot.

This. 100%.
For me, it's the personal nature of the "discussions." We can disagree, even get heated, but the personal attacks are tough to read. I would think this is one of those places where we all have one thing in common and would respect each other a bit more because of it. It bugs me that what could be a rational discussion ends up an angry, selfish, unnecessary questioning of sanity, mental stability, fandom, politics, and on and on.
We all want Marquette to be great, we are average amongst the top tier schools, well above average as a whole. We all want each other to be great, we are average. We could be great.

I like the thought but Sybil will just create even more sock puppets to get around the posting limit.

I agree.

I am totally new to the board and just because I happened to agree with Cheeks or Chicos or whatever people call him, people on the other side of the argument accused me of being him.
I hope the NoJos are starting to see that there is a large section of the fan base who disagree with their take on Wojo.
I made this point in another post but I'll try to make it again here.
If Wojos record, (wins and losses, tournament appearances, recruiting, coaching, player development, leadership, character, etc), was as bad as the NoJos portray it, wouldn't it be obvious to everyone( recruits, the BoD, ALL the fans)??

This right here. Not sure why people get so bent about disagreements and differing opinions. Maybe everyone should just respond to every post with: "I agree." Sure would be a vibrant and dynamic board.
P.S. Those of you who are staunch Wojo backers, you aren't any bigger or better fans than those of us who are frustrated. Your side just has lower expectations from the MU program and seems content with a 30-50ish type of team. If that weren't the case you'd stop trying to rationalize why we can't crack the Top 25 or haven't won an NCAA game under Wojo.
No, you are wrong. We need more thought police rules on posting.

Different points of view are good. This would be a pretty boring board if everyone agreed and was always rah rah.
I agree with you that the name calling and disrespect should be kept to a minimum, but you are being hypocritical criticizing others while calling them stupid and idiots among other things. I do think some of the posts are out of line, but I also think there are some snowflakes that are offended by anything. It's not offensive for someone to have a different point of view.

Ok if you say so. She is still using language that she is criticizing others for using. She is also specifically calling out those posters who criticize the team which are specific posters. Ultimately, Wojo isn't a quick study, but he is a grinder, and the hope would that after 6 years and seeing how letting one player be ball dominant is a formula for disaster - he'll become a better coach. This is the best we can hope for..and it is possible.

MU has an engaged fan base which is an asset of the program. I believe it is one of the essential requirements for success. Engaged Fans have strong opinions.
Scoop allows for all opinions.
Mr. Dodds only allows one opinion, his and those who agree with him .
I prefer Scoop.
Honestly, a lot of the interesting conversations have moved onto twitter of all places. I don't post here nearly as much as I use to simply because the level of discourse has devolved to name calling and each "side" using it's own facts. Over the last three days I've gotten involved with at least 4 parallel debates about Wojo on twitter that were intelligent, insightful, and snarky....all things that Scoop use to be but have seemingly gone away. These conversations were outstanding despite me being largely on the pollyanna side of things and one of the few ones at that.
Plus selfishly I get tired of having to defend myself when I post things that I know to be true and people question it.
One note, this absolutely has nothing to do with the overlords of Scoop, they have provided an invaluable platform that I'm historically grateful for....it's not their fault that the majority of the posters these days are borderline trolls.

I actively post I order to counter the more extreme takes on Wojo and the players.
Karin Mane or one of his peeps may browse Marquette fan sites and I think it's important that they see support for the players and coach, win or lose.
If no one spoke up in support of Wojo and the team, Karim could get the notion that he might be making a mistake by considering Marquette.
The same rationale applies to other recruits considering Marquette.
These borderline trolls could cause real harm to the program

I've considered it, but if lies or misrepresentations are left unchallenged they often become accepted as truth. I don't find much on this board worth fighting about but the trashing of Wojo and the players is where I draw the line.

How about people toning down the rhetoric in the middle of the season AND in the middle of a recruiting battle for Karim Mane. When the seasons over and Karim is signed to a NLI, then let's talk about how successful or unsuccessful Marquette was this season. Sometimes I think people are trying to sabotage his recruitment to make Wojo look bad.

I did recently join the board to add another voice in opposition to these "fans" and their hyperbolic, negative comments. I can think of worse reasons.
As for your characterization of me as a self styled crusader for all things good on the board you should read the post you responded to a little closer. The only things I've been battling are the "fans" who constantly trash the coach and players while Marquette is in the midst of a tough conference schedule and a critical recruiting battle. If you have a problem with that we're not going to get along well.
You can keep your coupons

How about people toning down the rhetoric in the middle of the season AND in the middle of a recruiting battle for Karim Mane. When the seasons over and Karim is signed to a NLI, then let's talk about how successful or unsuccessful Marquette was this season. Sometimes I think people are trying to sabotage his recruitment to make Wojo look bad.
Words matter. The trashing of Wojo and the players is not harmless. Those words could negatively impact this season and future recruiting.
Fans need to remember that they represent Marquette, just like the coach and the players do.
The powers that be are certainly not basing hiring, firing or recruiting decisions based on what fans are saying online.
This is true. However, recruits and their families do read message boards. And it can negatively influence them. Badger fans negatively influenced Blue, Matthews, the Hauser family. Legend has it that message board chatter cost MU a recruit under Crean. Certainly, the Diener family has no love for a certain poster on the Dodds board. Now, some will argue that recruits and their families should not read message boards. That it is just a message board and what anonymous fans post shouldn't be taken seriously or personally. Balderdash.
You are judged by what you say everywhere and by everyone. Words do create impressions. People do infer character of individuals and a fanbase as a whole. It just is.

I understand what you are saying, tower. I would argue that we shouldn't go after MU players and that we shouldn't launch scathing, repeated diatribes against the MU coach because being civil is simply the right thing to do.
That being said, I don't believe folks who articulate a genuine dissatisfaction with the direction of the program should have to think, "I better pretend to be happy, or to not care, because a recruit's uncle might see this." It's a fan site. We are allowed to have fan takes.
Are there really major college hoops programs whose fan sites NEVER criticize the coach and/or players out of fear that recruits might be logged on? If so, why aren't those programs getting all the great recruits? I have seen Kentucky, Duke, Carolina and Kansas fan sites; I wonder how those programs keep getting 5-star recruits.
I do believe there are ways to discuss a coach's shortcomings without saying, "So-and-so is a moron. I never liked him. All he does is de-motivate our players. He's a tool. Etc." And certainly, adults attacking the teenagers and early-20-somethings who have dedicated their lives to MU basketball are revealing their lack of character.
As with most things, there are degrees of "right" and "wrong," lots of nuance.
I thought Wojo looked weak when he was unable to do one of the biggest parts of any coach's job: manage his players' egos. I hated losing the Hausers, and even more, I worried that the situation might hurt future recruiting. I did not for one second say to myself, "Gee, if I voice those concerns on Scoop, I could cost us future recruits."
Others, obviously, are free to disagree. It's an interesting topic, in and of itself.
And, of course, I am delighted to have been shown I really shouldn't have worried that Hausershima would hurt Wojo's ability to land good recruits.

I do think that one's character can come through on a board like this, as people tend not to hide their true self as much as they do in person. True "character revealed" on these boards? As far as the board itself or fan base itself, I do agree that families and others do get impressions and extrapolate a few comments and generalize to the whole - as that seems to be human nature - take one or two points and assume and extrapolate to the whole. Bad logic, but it is part of what we do as humans, even though we should know better.
One thing I have learned from this board is just how many people have egos (or is it fragile egos) that any slight must be responded to and how hurt people get at the slightest of slights. Little ability to take a glancing jab or negative comment and move on to the important things in life that actually matter.

Scoop has been here long before you, and it will be here long after you're gone. Same with the trolls. Re-read his post and have to disagree.
Casting me as a self styled crusader who thinks I'm going to save the board is condescending BS.
As was his comment suggesting I might be redeemable .
He was also completely dismissive about the potential damage EXTREME negative posters could inflict on the program, and basically compared me to them.
What he said about me being as bad as my nemeses doesn't really bother me because I do have an agenda, just like the EXTREME NoJos seem to have their agenda. My agenda is somewhat different and doesn't involve trashing the coach and players but that's just semantics.
People giving me unsolicited advice does raise my ire though. You can trust that I know exactly what I'm doing and will continue to do so regardless of others "well intentioned advice".
If you actually read my posts, you will find that I'm a fairly intelligent Marquette fan who tries to offer well thought out and reasonable takes as well. I'm sure I'm not as intelligent and reasonable as Mu03eng is but then again I don't go around giving advice to people who don't want it either.

You tell me how to verify I'm a unique account without giving out personal information and I would be glad to do it. I guess my word isn't good enough.
By the way, I find some of Cheeks comments fairly outrageous. Just because we agree on one or two issues does not make us the same.
I believe the people who accuse me of being him already know I'm not, but say it anyway to try and silence anyone who agrees with Cheeks. Especially when it comes to debates involving Wojo.
All I can say to them is........
It won't work.
OUTRAGEOUS???

Nope...which is why I am laughing at how much your simple mind is being played here. I also tip my cap to Whoajoe for this great stunt this past week....epic. As I said, Barf, the mods could clear this up in a heartbeat if they wish...unless one of them is in on it. 8-)
Regardless, I hope Joe keeps going....and as I said, when I am under the knife a bit later and he / she is still posting then what is your excuse going to be?
The fact that you can't or won't prove you are really under the knife. "Wing" surgery also doesn't put someone out of commission for more than a day.

OK, well that's a start. I figured that wasn't the case which is why I asked, but that's one clue I suppose.
I'm happy to offer Joe the same thing Billy was going to do and we can clear this up really quick. Joe, wherever the hell he lives, can upload a photo of the front page of the paper where he lives with the date, I'll do the same with the LA Times or OC Register same time and day....cannot be in two places at one time. Plenty of other creative ways to prove people wrong on this, but I again tip my hat to him (her)....pretty funny to watch.
Who the heck buys newspapers anymore?

C'mon Cheeks, even if you were under the knife, it would be a local anaesthetic and you would still be posting.

Any idea why Billy backed out of this "creative" proof of life concept you've constructed?
