Ever see a goose do a face-plant?

I was riding my bike this morning and came upon a goose standing by the side of the road. I am used to seeing unpredictable wildlife like squirrels, deer and occasionally geese, and know to give a wide berth. I was giving it several feet when it started to dart across the road. It was going to get out of the way in plenty of time...until it slipped and did a total face-plant. Face down, wings splayed, the whole thing. Fortunately I was able to break and swerve just enough to miss.

If geese have the capacity to be embarrassed, there is one embarrassed goose in Rochester tonight.

My boss wants to see you in his office immediately.   Something about you ruining our productivity.

Just realized I missed out on this fabulous roadside attraction when I moved my daughter to Fargo last week.

You know what?  I'm done with Christmas cards.  Sending them or receiving them.

Just post an update on Facebook, I'm good with that.

Yep.  Haven't sent them out in a decade.
Have some patience, FFS.

I'm down with that...at least the sending part.

But how do you end the receiving part? Drop 'em on the driveway as you're walking up from the mailbox?

I don't need to stop the receiving part.  My wife is still opening them, but if it's just a picture of your family, I'm not glancing.

Write me an *entertaining* letter, I'll read it.  If it's just a resuscitation of where you travelled and how good your kids are at soccer, no thanks.

At least drop in an Arby's coupon.

How long is the Cheeks Family letter and what is the postage?

13,000 posts long.

Does that count include SuperBar posts?

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Comics are dead to me until Calvin and Hobbes returns.

I'll be honest, I thought Watterson was dead. Not only is he not dead, but he's only 61.
