I think most will acknowledge that I keep the chart pretty updated. And it's fun to go back to the early days if one wants.  Props to MUMark as he initially pointed out Theo on P.1.  As others have said, the most recent few pages always give you the latest and greatest.

Carry on boys.  And thanks to Brew for gearing up the grad transfer thread.  That could become important.   ;D

If people want threads started on separate recruiting classes how hard is it to create a thread?

I posted what I thought would work well above.

I'm still not certain you've understood what others have been telling you.  Glow keeps the 1st post in this thread updated.  Here's a link directly to it.  Bookmark it if you like.  You can ignore the rest of the thread if you want "concise"

https://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=48207.msg746628#msg746628

Apologies if you already found that.  It wasn't clear from your replies.

As to a table like the scholarship table.  Glow...if you're interested in maintaining something like that, it's just a google sheets document that you'd have to maintain, and we could have a separate page for it, but it wouldn't be included in this thread.  There may be a way for it to show up with this thread following.  PM me if you're interested.

Don't know who this is. Or anything about him?

Apparently he is a PG? But he appears to have been at MU last night and today?

5'11" 2018 point guard from Kenosha Bradford.
Not a lot on him out there on recruitng sites. Later riser, perhaps?

Here's a little something from the MU Trib last year:

DE'MONTE NELSON (Bradford HS, Wisconsin) — Nelson, a 5-foot-11 point guard, has been one of the flashiest performers in the state this season. His 20.2 points per game have caught the eye of several schools, including Marquette. Creighton and Kentucky have sent mail to him as well, per his pinned tweet. Nelson faces the obstacle, however, of playing on a struggling high school team, as Bradford has only won one conference game so far in the 2016-'17 campaign.

Very quick. Looks to have a solid shot although his 3P shot is a bit of a set shot. Has a couple mid range pull ups.

Honestly never had heard of him until this thread.

Ellenson Guerrero

Given his retweet here, it looks like he's being looked at for a preferred walk-on spot: https://twitter.com/patrickkleary/status/953408677389717504

When's the last time we've had one of those?

I kinda get the impression that Cam was one of those.  I think it was kinda assumed he'd make the team with his father's connection to the school.

PS...the only signed recruit for the women's team for 2018 is Cam's (I assume) sister Chloe, who is a 3 star prospect.

Nelson originally signed with Presbyterian.

Can some one explain the following regarding McKinley Wright.

1. Why we did not recruit him hard in the first place.

2. After Archie Miller went to Indiana and Dayton gave McKinley his release we did not pursue. This change of events was after Traci Carter left our squad. So we knew there was a need. McKinley and Theo are attached at the hip so we had that going for us.

McKinley is having a monster year for Colorado.

JB would be able to answer, but I thought he had doubts that he was a high major prospect.

Interesting. Here's a thread from May 2015. Herman actually chimed in for the last post of the thread, lol.

I didn't have doubts, but others did. My quote from May 2015 below.. "Good lead guard that can dish or score. Going to be smallish, but continues to demonstrate that his skills and IQ are enough to still place him at a HM."

Clubhouse leader type of kid. Size and shooting ability were the concerns for me, and still are. Heart of a lion, but not a very good shooter.

I'm very happy he's having a solid year - and a few remarkable games - for Colorado this year. Even with hindsight, though, not sure he was the right fit here at the time.

He's nice. Has done well this year playing up a year with Net Gain (who is in the UAA league). Reed Nikko is the center there, and is an interesting prospect (Maple Grove HS). IIRC most of their team are 2016's, but another '17 playing with Wright this year is Ish El-Amin (son of the UCONN great).

In HS ball, Wright's center is fellow-MU target Theo John. Their Champlin Park HS team went undefeated this past year until the championship game - losing to Apple Valley & another MU-target Tre Jones. J.T. Gibson was a quality guard for Champlin Park and moves on to play for MU-killer Omaha... so big year upcoming for Wright.

(Apple Valley / Champlin Park was the 4A - largest schools - Championship game... Sacar and DeLaSalle won the 3A ch'ip just before the AV/CP game)

Good lead guard that can dish or score. Going to be smallish, but continues to demonstrate that his skills and IQ are enough to still place him at a HM.
The portal is NOT closed.

OK thanks JB.  I remember you mentioning something about him and MU.

We need to get WarriorPride68 back on this recruiting thread and posting in general. He was  a very active and knowledgeable poster.
