Don't count on Pinson. He's been waiting for that Georgetown offer for a loooong time, it's the reason he decomitted from Kent State in the first place.

Morrow probably isn't as big of a connection as you'd think because this is only Pinson's first year at Simeon.

Didn't see it anywhere, but Stan is now following Xavier Pinson... Simeon PG getting a bunch of offers in the past week including Georgetown.

Pinson is a senior in HS, so would be for next season.  Looks like he committed to Kent State back in October, so I assume he has rescinded that commitment.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Two offers.

Dayton offered so that's three, and I believe Missouri and Cinci are in range to offer as well.

Is this a late bloomer whose stock is rising, or more of a 2 AM and the bar's about to close type of situation?

It's the Simeon affect. He's actually playing less minutes than he has his Freshman-Junior year at St. Pats but playing with Talen Horton-Tucker, Zion Young and Messiah Jones certainly gets you some exposure.

I know Marquette offered Campbell at one point....for those in the know, is that still an outstanding offer and is there any mutual interest?

I don't believe we are still pursuing Campbell. It wouldn't shock me if that changed, but there hasn't been any scuttlebutt around that since well before the DePaul commit.

Just surprising to me they'd pursue a guy like Xavier Pinson when Campbell is still available.  Obviously PG is the top priority.  My top choice remains a grad transfer.

Any update on the Connor Crabtree kid they were sniffing around a few weeks back? Did MU ever offer?

No info out there that MU has offered Crabtree

Maybe because there might be a stink around La Lumiere School after Bowen?  DePaul did hire his high school coach as an assistant, which is how they got the original commit.

Afroman

De'Monte Nelson of Kenosha Bradford is a four-year varsity player. He became the school's all-time leading scorer recently, breaking a record that stood since the 1950s. Super-quick and a great shooter, he currently ranks eighth in the state in scoring (28.8 ppg). Getting a lot of mid-major looks. His play this season has opened some eyes. His brother, Montenia, plays for D-I Presbyterian.

Everything I've heard is that if he came, it would be as a walk-on.

Aircraftcarrier

I would not call De'Monte Nelson a great shooter by any means. No where near the likes of Jeff Sewell,Earl Tatum,Gary Rosenberger,Steve Novak,Travis Diener,Sam Hauser,Markus Howard or Andrew Rowsey. He is very quick though but short and slight. The last scholarship will go to a grad transfer or a great player who gets released because of coaching change or probation

On another note, Duke now has received commitments from the Top Three ranked players in 2018, giving them four out of the top ten.  Thats the second year in a row they got four players in the top ten.  But getting the first, second and third ranked in one class is ridiculous.  Yes, half will leave for draft, but that is impressive.

But what did the bowel say about Zion?

The Lens

Since K has gone all in on one & dones, he's owned Kentucky.

It's also why more and more people think that Capel is the hier apparent.  Wojo & Collins don't know that game like Capel does.
