I'm talking beatring the blue bloods for recruits more often than just one here or there, yes that has happened. I'm talking semi regularly.

Hate to break it to you. But the only ones who beat blue bloods out for recruits semi-regularly are other blue bloods. We might get there one day, but its going to be a long wait.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Matt Ryan, from Notre Dame, is another non-grad transfer that would be an interesting name.

Big time shooter. Wojo was after him the first time around.

Averaged 14 minutes as a Frosh, but playing time dipped quite a bit this year.
I like his ability to shoot. Would be a nice back up 2.

2017 SG Jemarl Baker is re-opening his recruitment per multiple sources. Backed out of Cal. Schools listed include Kentucky, Duke, Arizona, Marquette, and others.
Jemarl is my top choice. This kid can really shoot well.

But does he have a great family? And how's his neck?

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Solid neck and keeps head up  but haven't had a chance to meet the family yet.

So Marquette and a bunch of mid-majors?  I like our chances.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Rowsey and Howard play the same position, too. Wojo found ways to get them on the floor at the same time, because they were our* two best scorers.

Rowsey won't be on that 2018-19 team. Neither will Katin. No one in our 2017-18 recruiting class is a shooter (of that caliber).

Wouldn't hurt to have another great shooter on that 18-19 roster.

Why did he have his time drop as a sophomore at ND?  Kind of important to know that before getting too excited about him.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Liability on defense. He did see his minutes go up in the postseason.

I don't see him at marquette but he should get high major attention

Serious question. How many message boards do you read? And how much time do you spend doing it?

I actually agree that message boards are often the best place to get information on players that isn't readily available. You just have to take it with a grain of salt because 95% are irrational. I go to message boards and read up on players before adding them to the free agent tracker on paint touches.

I however have yet to join an opponents message board...i also have yet to post information on an opponents message board and then quote myself as evidence of a point I'm trying to make on this board.

It's much easier to find sources that prove your point when you're the source.

Over the years there have been a number of great players come out of the Detroit Public and Catholic School leagues who were under the radar/blossomed late and became great players. Guys like Greg Kelser, Shawn Respert, Dan Roundfield etc. I believe Elliot could end up being one of those kind of guys. He plays at a very fast pace, is an incredible pogo stick, can take it to the rack, shoot from the outside and is very defensive minded.  He has Big East stud written all over him. The kind of player that would fit in at MU in the glory days. If we get him I will be delighted.

Yesterday, MSU offered a late bloomer wing/guard from Illinois.
