Oso has already made his choice known.  If Kolek stays, that will be 13 scholarships and therefore no transfers in unless there are transfers out.

I was being sarcastic.

He made the right call.  I think Oso and Kolek will have the same call to make this summer.

Oso already said this is it, Kolek on the fence but I can see him leaving as well

I can see Kolek testing the waters but if he isn't going to get drafted Incouls totally see him coming back for another year.  Selfishly I'd love to see him here for another year but I'd also love to see him make it to the NBA.

He will be a coach someday without a doubt.

He has no reason to comeback.  Even a second round does well now.

Depends what hes getting in NIL

Kolek don't think long term NBA.
Not knocking him. Grit goes a long way. And he may get an NBA three...which is essential.

At Goolsby's before Saturday's game, this was a subject my buddies and I were discussing. I said NIL money could keep some projected second-rounders in college, especially if they really love the college experience, want an advanced degree and/or think they could improve their draft position a year later.

It's gonna be interesting to see how it plays out with Kolek and others in similar positions.

During the course of the evening, one of my friends said several times that he hoped Kolek would stay another year. I was like, "Sure, I do too if that's what he wants. But just relax and enjoy this year's Tyler Kolek and stop worrying about next season."

Very backhanded compliment. Kolek is much much more than grit

He'll be 23 years. His NIL is gonna have to be high high. He'll go play pro ball next year baring something strange.

Weak NBA draft class too.

I agree Kolek will play professional basketball. I'm not so sure it will be in the NBA.

But he's not getting any playing time.  Would've been better off returning this year.
I don't disagree. Ellenson, Omax. Lewis I'd have waited another year. But, that's just me. Everyone says take the $ even if you ride pines and end up in Euro by year 3. UW's Johnny Davis is on this trajectory...in yr two w/Washington and gets no PT and/or is always hurt. Then again, if undrafted Sam Hauser can make the Celtics rotation in his year 3, there's hope that things will work out.

All it takes is Juan.

OMax is making 7 figures.  He made the best choice for him.

There was a video on X of Johnny Davis taking jump shots during warm-ups and it was on the ugliest shots I've ever seen.  It's no surprise he's not getting PT.

Kolek will find a niche in the NBA. There are places for his skillset

Love to have him back as I am not sure they have the next point guard next year on the team, Norman does not look quick enough and Jones is to small.  If Kam Jones comes back I could see him and maybe Ross, and Mitchell as starters.

Gold, Jop, Stevie, Kam, Sean.

Chase 6. Unless Kam leaves or Shaka decides he needs a more well rounded player to start over Stevie
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

.

Can your line-up score enough points, really soft upfront.  Rather play big, Gold, Parham, Jop, Jones and hopefully Kolek

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

I'd wager Kolek is gone.  His passing and shooting are NBA level.  No reason Tyler can't have a Payton Pritchard type role in the NBA.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Kam tests the waters.  He's older than Oso, and Kam's shooting, passing, and defense have all improved.

I'll be interested to see how Shaka addresses the PG situation next year.  The position is obviously a priority for 2025 (Nyk Lewis, Nigel James, Azavier Robinson).

I am worried some about next year re: the front court. Hopefully Gold improves his D (I think he will), hopefully Al Amado isn't another Keeyan Itejere (all dunk not much more) and hopefully one of the incoming bigs can contribute right away.

There will be a transition next year.   Like there is for every team that loses really good players.
