Had a great visit to Duke and Virginia. Wanted to play with the VA players but rolled his ankle before they left for the official so couldn't. Duke says he is a player that fits their system. Duke site got the details from Kon's mom for both visits. Both visits confirmed he fit well with his potential teammates.

They plan to sit on it for a few days then talk as a family and hear his thoughts but wants to commit soon. They stated couple days to convo.

Overall nothing telling other than great visit, great teammates and will make decision soon. Would say a lean to Virginia over Duke.

Exact quotes

VA "It was great! We came for a game last time, so there wasn't as much time to hang with the players or see a practice. This time he was able to do both even tho we were there for a short time. He was supposed to play with the team, but rolled his ankle the night before we flew out."

Duke "It was a really great visit too. Watched a practice, hung with players, got to know the whole staff."

I think the smart money is on Virginia, but feel like Shaka has done a great job to get us to this point. I don't think 6 months ago I thought we had a realistic shot at him. I thought the general thought around then was UW was the choice if he stayed home, and UVA if he left the state.

I'm thinking he has known for quite a while where he intends to go.  These last visits were a chance to change his m8nd - long shot.    Nut still hoping MU did

If it's not MU then I actually hope it's Duke. Just think there is a better chance for a transfer home for a sophomore season than if he's starting at UVA.

Personally, if I were him I'd rather play for a great basketball school like  Marquette so my family can see me play and for a great players' coach like Shaka.

His family will be able to see him play wherever. And UVA and Duke are great programs. He is definitely coming from a position of strength.

As much as I hope to be surprised with him committing to Marquette, I really think he will choose UVA or Duke. He is probably a one-and-doner who would have a great opportunity to put on a show for the scouts in his sole college year at either school, but especially at Duke.
Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

Very much so. MU is in his top 2 or 3.  Now that visits are done everyone is just waiting on his final announcement.

Many believe UVA and MU are the leaders with UVA the slight lean.

Everything I've heard in the past 24 hours feels positive for Marquette regarding Kon.

That said, I'm terrified of hope in situations like these ;)

Because there seems to be a lot of misinformation or poorly sourced information out there regarding this one. Mainly, I saw someone elsewhere saying that Marquette isn't a factor and I feel confident that is not accurate.

The good news is there wasn't an immediate Blue Blood commitment coming out of official. (Duke)

So hopefully our coaching staff can keep making the MU case .

I have heard the similar things. Really positive post MU visit.

But whenever some keeps going on visits, i personally table my optimism.

Comfortable definitively putting Marquette in his top three.

Side note: Marquette and Matt Hodge went well and they are moving forward in recruiting.
