From what I've heard he's a freak athlete with some touch on his J.  I think he and Oso will form a nice duo.  As Goose mentions though, Kur is hard to replace.  His shot blocking/timing/length, and even his touch on that little floater are really rare.

If I'm Shaka I'm heavily in the market for another JLew - we need a STRONG 6'7/6'8" physical power forward type.  Shaka said in a press conference recently that JLew really is the only guy on the team that they have who can physically go in there and mix it up and rip rebounds away from opponents.  I agree.

I agree.  Oso and Itegere are extreme thin and will be punished in the paint.  Shaka at this time has Omax, and Joplin comes in to sub out Lewis, but the incoming recruits are a 5ft10 PG and another guard.  If Lewis goes, then the team needs a Montrez Harrell type forward via the portal.  If you think this years rebounding concerns are bad, imagine next year without a big body filling the void.  I would be shocked if Shaka does not realize the potential issue.

2022 PF Ben Gold, one of the top international prospects in the class, has scheduled three official visits, source tell @247Sports.

January 29-30: Washington State
February 1-2: Marquette
February 3-4: Loyola

He's a 6'10" "guard/forward" at the NBA Academy in Australia. Appears to be a shooter with decent moves around the hoop. Also looks like he could use a lot of time with Todd Smith. Intriguing prospect for sure.

February 2 - he'll be here for the Nova game.   :)

If that is who MU is going up against, this should not be a problem.  But how good is this recruit?

A foul per 40 rate of 4.2 is perfectly acceptable. It's better than any year Matt had and right on par with Luke's best year. Theo just got the reputation of fouling a lot as an underclassmen (which he did) and people assumed he never improved (which he also did).

It's fine if you play for 40 minutes. Theo averaged around 20-25 minutes per game....

Massive difference. The girlfriend would have my head if I ever called her an Aussie.

You understand those numbers are his foul rate per 40 minutes, right?

Which is more than Kur is currently averaging. What's your point? Nobody expects a center to play 40 mpg. Theo's fouls per 40 were terrible as an underclassmen. They drastically improved.  Why you seemingly don't want to acknowledge this is confusing.

Yes - And a foul rate around 4.5/40 minutes for a guy who only plays 20-25 mins is still not very good.

His foul rate means he was still in foul trouble the majority of games he played. That's not good.

The rate already accounts for number of minutes played. What don't you understand?

By way of comparison to Theo's 4.29 senior year rate, Oso is currently at 4.33 and Kur is at 3.46.

So a fouls per 40 of 4.2 is "really bad" ( your words), then an improvement of 0.7, which would have brought him level with what Kur currently is at this year would be described as...?

In other words, panda, his foul rate PER GAME would be 2.3-2.8.  Actually not that bad.....
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

I wonder what Ben Gold's foul rate is.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

How do they say "foul" in whatever language they speak in New Zealand?

As we learned today, whether his rate is good or not totally depends on how many minutes per game he plays.
