No point in holding your breath about Mane or even the next basketball season.  Doctors are saying Corona virus will "most likely" be back for a second run next flu season.  At that point, I'd consider playing pro in the southern hemisphere where it will be summer/less susceptible to the virus.  That's just one scenario.  There are too many variables right now.

He can't wait too long especially if his decision is between MU and NBA...he has to declare at some point, and also withdraw at some point. Unless MU can/does land Turner AND Carton, there's no harm in waiting for Mane. There aren't any other grad transfers/traditional transfers out there right now that would make a major impact on next years team anyway(that's assuming a certainty Carton got a waiver), so no use in throwing out a scholarship just to use one(or two) on guys that won't move the needle much for next year.

Exactly.  We MAY get to 12 scholarship players by August.  I'd be shocked if we were at 13.

Not necessarily a new commit. You maybe "encourage" an older player to transfer, or maybe somebody to redshirt.

Someone redshirting wouldn't solve your 13 full scholarship issue.

I don't think Marquette is on this kids radar. A lot of state of WI talent has not considered Marquette. Fortunately Baldwin isn't considering Wisconsin either.

A few highly rated kids haven't considered Marquette lately, but MU has done fine in that regard.
