If DJ Carton signs with Marquette, does Tyrese Hunter? Plus, if Carton signs, he might have to sit a year. If so, all the more reason Hunter might pass...Carton a redshirt sophomore as Hunter is a freshman. Plus, can Torrance be the starting 1 next season, or is McEwen still considered a pt guard, and starter?

Lets say there is something called competition, yes, then somebody might transfer.  That is college basketball today.  Carton might be a one and done or at least
2 years so Hunter could play some as a freshman then start as a soph.  I still need to see if Torrence can play D, he was not close yet.  Hunter playing under Jack Bennett, is a quicker much better defensive player then anybody of the guards right now.  Fun of recruiting, you never know what will happen.  Secondly, Hunter is
not the only point they are looking at.

Actually I think MU is sitting better with Foster than anyone else, especially if he reclassifies to 2020. He's seen the campus, knows what it's about, and it's home. In the times we are in now, more guys might decide staying home is a better option.

Per Corey Evans today's mailbag:

While the NCAA's dead period is set to end on April 15, I would be very, very surprised if it were not extended another month at least. That is part inside knowledge and part common sense. I cannot see universities allowing their employees to go on the road to work, while also putting potential student-athletes and their families in harm's way by bringing them on-campus.

Karim Mane hopes to begin to taking official visits once they are allowed. He is not in much of a rush and, even if recruiting were to be banned until May 15, I still believe that he would be OK holding off from committing until after that time.

Mane has only taken an official visit to Marquette at this point. If an extended dead period does get in the way between him and his decision, that would seem to work in favor of the Big East program. Mane visited Maryland last year and Michigan State has continued to gain ground.

Look for Mane to wait out the process a bit longer before hearing the latest on the pandemic and when actual visits could resume.
