Really?? You're coming here tonight, and doing this?? Really?? You owe this board an explanation on how you can keep defending this crap show. I'm serious..how??

To be fair, his post was before this latest debacle.

Disagree. We have an outstanding recruiting class coming in that will make an immediate impact.

No we don't.

We are in for some bad news, recruiting-wise, in the next few months.

Would really be a shame if we lose Garcia and Ighodaro.Ighodaro dominating the State Final on both ends of the court.
It would be a shame but if Wojo comes back with this class, MU will be lucky to be .500 next year. We are losing a lot from a team that will not even be .500 in the Big East. I feel Wojo will do well to get us to 4-14 in the Big east next year.

Sometimes you have to take one step backward to take two steps forward.

If what you say is true, don't the rules of propositional calculus say that we'd be in for some good news coaching wise?

I mean, if Sacar is only a "perhaps," then nobody.  If you haven't seen improvement in Sacar you won't find it in anyone Wojo has coached (or really many players in the entire country).

Have no interest in a pissing contest, Manes. I appreciate Sacar's  improvement and dedication, but his recent performance (as a RS senior) have not been suggestive of a player who's been "coached up." He's improved over the years but he's basically been a liability in 2020.

I just keep having these thoughts in my head(and have for awhile) that even if Wojo stays, that at least one of the recruits changes their mind and asks out of their LOI. My fear is it would be Garcia.

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

I hear you WhiteTrash. Not sure MU will ever get two big guys like Garcia and Ighodaro again. They are really good.MU needs an outstanding point guard to lead the team like Tony Miller.MU is a rutterless ship on the floor.Saying that I am not sure Wojo would win with them.Just a tough situation.Maybe MU should give Stan a chance.Nobody thought Buzz should have been hired and look how that turned out.Sometimes you just need a chance.

PointWarrior

If Wojo stays, doubtful that all these recruits stay committed.

The only way they all stay committed is if he stays.  The nojo circlejerk is in full force tonight.

Osa, Garcia, Lewis and Mane followed up by a couple of the 2021 studs - would have been fun to watch.

Silent Verbal

It seems like one of the reasons Garcia chose Marquette is because it's close to home.  If Wojo leaves and a blue blood doesn't have an open scholarship, we might still be able to keep him with the right coaching hire.

Its square one buddy. Hope the new coach can recruit and coach significantly better I guess

There are always openings, especially for a McD AA.

75-55 Desert Vista over Mountain Pointe. Oso dominated the entire game.

20 points 7 rebounds 4 blocks at half time on 8 of 9 shooting.

For the 2nd time in school history, and the first time this past decade, Desert Vista are your Arizona 6A State Champs. 28-3 season.

(DaRon Holmes and Millenium lost to Ironwood 78-70 in 5A title game, their first loss to an AZ team. Holmes had 17pts 8 rebounds 5 blocks.)

It all seems great in theory, but the chance it materializes into anything positive is still a long shot considering all the transfers, and locker room drama, and smoke and mirrors, and you name it. It's just been ruined orgasm after ruined orgasm after ruined orgasm under this regime. I don't see it changing.

On Garcia, I don't think we keep him if Wojo goes unless the new coach promises to feature him in the same way. He committed to MU due to proximity but primarily did so because of "how we plan to use him" (whatever the f that means). You have to remember that despite him being a McD AA, there were no premier programs in his final four. He wants to be "the guy."

Thankfully recruits don't make irrational, reactionary, dumb decisions like MUScoopers.

Garcia, Oso, and Lewis all constantly post about MU, reply to current MU players and coaches, etc. on social media. If the current coaching staff is still at Marquette next year, so will this recruiting class.

These recruits realize the team is what they make it, not what the past players did or didn't do during their time at MU. MU has three big names and maybe one or two more starting their career at the same time next season. If recruits constantly wavered about their decision while watching their future team lose games while they are still in high school, cbb would sure as hell have a lot of shuffling of players. I'm sure Oso is thinking "oh no. Marquette lost to DePaul. I better reconsider my committment."

It's unlikely recruits stay with a new coach. They've built a connection for a year or more with their future HC and staff. And with Markus leaving the team is going to look completely different.

All this shows recruits is that there is playing time really available at MU next year, I would be excited to know I can start right away.  Plus I am sure Wojo explained to
them the offense will be different next year for sure.

Good point. Instead of Markus shooting 40% of the shots next year it will be Dawson Garcia. That's a whole extra foot (6'11" minus 5'11"). Unless Mane comes too, then they'll both be low 30's shot %.

You know the difference between a dentist and a sadist, don't you? Newer magazines.

I still believe college basketball is a guards game.Lets look at the guards Wojo has recruited.

2015 - Carter and Cheatham
2016 - Howard
2017 - Elliott
2018 - None
2019 - Torrence and Akanno
2020 - so far none

Had a couple of transfers in Rowsey and McEwen
Grad transfer in Carlino not sure Reinhardt was a guard but I will include him
This is not good enough to win at a high level plus PG has been neglected

Aircraftcarrier

Jockey have you seen Ighodaro play?
