Tough to go against UNC.

That said, would be nice if our PG coach could land a PG at some point...

Where does evan Daniel get his info from? seems like he predicts the right school nearly every time. Hows that even possible? is he paying the kid or family for insider info lol? youd think some of the kids would keep their recruiting process absolutely secret.

Yeah if only he could just land a PG who was a Second Team All American as a junior and a Preseason First Team All American going into his senior year...

Or are we going to go with "Markus isn't a point guard" as we complain that Wojo can't land the point guard he's going after, who is, by all accounts, an identical player to Markus?

How about the nearly top 50 point guard Wojo just brought in this season?

Damn, I wish Wojo could just land one point guard.

Major Suckage, they get tons of talent every year

JWags85

Welp, SJU will get a good one for the 22-23 season after he transfers to be closer to home after not starting his first 2 years

RubyWiscy

At least he got this out of the way early today so I can concentrate on work. Sometimes it is hard/distracting to be an eternal optimist.

Eh oh well. Got too excited. Still hopeful for Garcia, Mane and JBF

If the stats listed on 247 are accurate, Mark Miller has a better overall record.

Hope Mark is right on Dawson....

I still think there is a chance we could see RJ in the future with all the players UNC has or is in the running for.

With Koby Greg and Symir plus if dexter pans out were actually ok at PG for a bit anyways.

I suspect they'll be heavily into the transfer market at PG this year.  Full court press on Karim Mane

I'm sure they will be but I just mean that we do have some experience there after Howard leaves and some scoring ability. It's not like we're caught with our pants down

Mark had him to MU until just recently. So I wouldn't put too much into it. Not that Mark has bad info, but just that it's a snapshot in time.

Bummer to miss out on Davis. I still think we need to see a big leap in Elliot's ballhandling before I'm comfortable counting on him as a PG.

We'll be okay at point guard.  I'm much more concerned about the scoring.  Koby will be able to score consistently.  Beyond that I'm not sure.  Dawson would help quite a bit on that front.

I didn't like the vibe when he finished his visit with us but didn't cancel his visit to UNC.

Wish he had joined our squad, but that's life in big-boy basketball.

I'm an optimist, so I'll take heart in the fact that Torrence and Davis have very similar rankings.  Thrilled to have Symir -- along with Lewis and Oso. Hopeful for more, of course.

Agree with wades about hoping we have enough scoring in 2020-21. Heck, I'm a little concerned with our ability to hit 3s this coming season.

On a related note ...

Also agree with many about the silliness of these predictions. They say for weeks, or even months, that a kid is going somewhere; then, when the tea leaves turn so much that it's obvious to almost everybody, they change their prediction in the final days. And that means they were "right."

So I can't say that current predictions give me extra hope for Dawson. I mean, I have hope that we'll land him based on various reports I've read, but not because current predictions say MU.

Good luck to RJ at UNC.  Wish him well.

Other than Garcia and Mane, are there really any other 2020 targets we are still pursuing?  I believe Suggs is pretty much gone.  Looks like we will fill out the remaining spots with transfers (probably one grad transfer and one traditional transfer?).

PE8983

Reading RJ's comments, he keeps repeating that Deputy Dog wants/is going to run 2 point guard sets.  Sounds like he's trying to convince himself - good luck with that.

There are always players available in the spring, but MU can't take 4 scholarships into spring, that's a lot. 2 I can see...but 4?? No way
