Symir Torrence recruiting Jalen Johnson to marquette

Hell yeah love it, he planted the stake in 2020 now trying to recruit a squad

Dainja has some decent bloodlines.  His father, Dana Jackson, played three years with the Gophers.  A couple years as a starter.  Grandfather Don Jackson played with Northwestern in the 60's.

The more I read/watch highlights of recruits to which we've been linked, the more I think Dawson Garcia is the best of the bunch. He's an athletic, 6'10 PF who knocks down 3's with fantastic form. He is honestly this generation's ideal basketball player. Would love to have him.

Seems JJ isnt feeling it, but glad he is trying.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

We've been mentioned with Springs before but I'm not sure we offered. Jackson I'm pretty sure this is the first mention. Noticed UConn is recruiting both pretty strongly, wonder if Killings was the lead there before jumping ship.

I had seen Jackson's name mentioned with Marquette before.   Didn't know what level of involvement MU had and hadn't read anything about his recruitment for months.

I thought it was more of a passing interest that went nowhere but apparently MU still involved.  He's a big time athlete but that's all I know.

I'm still searching for the first mention of Marquette being linked to Andre Jackson but discovered he played on Albany City Rocks. The same summer team as Symir Torrence.  Marquette was frequently mentioned attending their games last summer.

And of course all of these  City Rocks connections evolved from our original interest in Jeenathan Williams. There is always some connectivity value in every recruitment.

2021 sf Quincy Allen said he plans to take an unofficial to Marquette.

Just in case Nico is looking for a new home soon...I'm not Wojo, but I know I as a fan would be happy to revisit this recruitment.

I really think that ship has sailed.  With Symir Torrence committing, I am very happy with the PG situation going forward.

MU passes on 5 star recruits now?

Ones that have signed for other schools, yes.  Until something actually happens where he would get released from his LOI (not likely with the NCAA) all this speculation is nonsense.

With McEwen and Howard next year and Torrence arriving in 20 (or19) Mannion would be superfluous.
