I heard a really good jewish player, sign him up, not sure the last worked out at MU.  Ernie Grunfeldt was a miss as well.

Where do you get Jewish from the name Happy Gilmore?
Staff is taking at look at him to boost the defense as an enforcer type, he does have a tendenacy to foul out, though.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Look at all of those casts.   Wow, did the 17-18 team show far more grit than some gave them credit for.

Grit?  Or do you really mean "beat up" by playing against stronger and more mature opponents.

Considering Sam's injury was known about before the season and Greg hurt his hand in the exhibition game, I would say it was more grit than being over-matched physically.
Scoop motto:

Really?  I think we will play better as the players mature.  It's hard for 18-19 year olds to compete against 21-22 year olds physically.

I put JC up on the board.  Thought it was important as we keep track of the available scholarships.

1 for 2018-19
2 for 2019-20 (Heldt and JC)

What I've got, right?

So as it stands now, I'm curious everyone's "wish list" of commits.  Mine would be:

2018-2019: Marcus Carr or Koby McEwen
2019-2020: Jalen Wilson and DJ Carton

Not that that's breaking news to anyone, just curious what everyone else prefers.

So we still have one for one of Sandler, Koby, Carr, hey?

I don't have a strong opinion on the rising HS Seniors but I do think we should fill the 13th this next year with a traditional transfer and Carr or McEwen are great candidates.  Assuming we get one, I'd go 'best available' regardless of position with the two slots for incoming kids.

Article that mentions Nico Mannion. One interesting tidbit:

QuoteSomething interesting to note regarding Mannion, he told me that he'll be taking summer classes so that he can have the option of graduating with the class of 2019.

If only MU (and this coaching staff) had some success in taking a point guard from out west who decided to graduate early and helping  him develop into an excellent college player.......

Updated.  We're done for '18 with all 13 schollies accounted for.  On to the Class of '19.
