Yo, Adrien.  You are old enough to get the original Rocky reference.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

I remember his name being linked with Marquette a while ago. Not sure what Marquette's current interest level is, given that he wasn't one of the in season official visits.

Hall has visited TAMU, Wisconsin, and Ohio State, and possibly some others, too.

Iowa discord is hearing Owen Freeman (6'10" Sophomore averaging 17 and 7) to Marquette has legs. Seems weird with Ben and Royce already here.

He's good.....and we were involved with him out of high school.

Watching the Houston vs Kansas game tonight.  Nigel reminds me of a younger version of LJ handling the ball.  I'm going to throw that out there and go to bed.

Feels like the ONLY way that would happen is if Ben plays pro overseas. Certainly wouldn't be opposed.

Whoa. That's an interesting tidbit. Does seems a bit odd given current roster.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I agree. After everything he's said, it would be odd for Shaka to take a transfer over a returning starter.  I guess we'll see what happens.

Freeman would be highly sought after by many teams if he portals.

Is this the aircraft carrier everyone's been waiting for?

I don't see a particular reason why Freeman, Ben, and Parham can't coexist.

Freeman rebounds, blocks, and shoots a lot of twos. Our guys not so much and shoot a lot of 3s.

Shaka has a lot of project "bigs" behind Ben at the 5, but none that do what Freeman does.
I'd expect one of the guys deeper in the rotation to transfer down if this becomes truth. Freeman, Gold, and Parham would really lock down the 4/5 spots.

PS: I've heard that McCafferey could retire after the season so that part tracks

Hahaha not at all. Just sharing what I'd heard. Given Shaka's track record I'll believe it when I see it, but was certainly intrigued if Ben takes off.

Freeman is a solid player that adds experience upfront, can play Gold and Parham at the 4, really would be a nice pickup

I've heard iowa is losing a big group of guys regarldess of fran(freeman included)

Dix is a nice player and Creighton seems very likely
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

The math doesn't work unless either Gold or Parham depart.

Freeman can post, put the ball on the floor and is a decent defender as well. It would be nice if he came to Marquette, but he will make a bunch if he hits the open market.
