He has a Michigan State degree, so he's probably delivering pizza

Nice first half by Sam. Hit a couple 3s and was very active defensively.

Don't forget the ring. He gets one even though Jockey doesn't feel he's worthy.

That was a dopey statement by Jockey. Sam obviously deserves a ring, and he's gonna have a long NBA career.

Love to see Sam making some extra change to go along with the championship ring. I think he hangs around the league for a long time.

He'll need that coin to take care of his deadbeat brother.  As a Michigan State grad, he'll be in jail sooner than later

The Athletic recently has had two interesting mentions of Sam Hauser's next contract, including this detailed one:

Hauser has one year left for the minimum, on a team option, and will be extension-eligible this summer; he's about to get more expensive, but Boston sees him as a keeper. One possible cap shenanigan would be to decline Hauser's team option for 2024-25 and re-sign him for lower money and more years than in an extension that started in 2025-26. Doing so would increase the Celtics' tax penalty in 2024-25 but lessen the impact of the repeater penalty and manage the second apron in the out years.

In a different article, The Athletic used its "BORD$" calculations to suggest that Hauser's next contract could be worth about $20M per year.

Wow. Good for Sam.

Wow. Good for Sam.

Basketball is such a great sport for professionals.  NBA salaries have skyrocketed due to live rights (way more than MLB and on par with NFL) PLUS there are leagues all over the world.  Tons of opportunites to make a living.

He fucked up in signing the last contract. We'll see if he gets hit again

With half the year still to go, I feel confident in saying "Not even close to being Porzingis" is the understatement of the year. Doesn't matter how many drinks Hank had, if he saw the two on a basketball court it'd be very clear it wasn't Zinger he was seeing.

the thing is, sam is such a good fit as a role player with boston.  he accepts his role as do the players and they trust him to stick to the plan.  his b-ball IQ is so good.  i wouldn't mind seeing him in the same role with bucks.

i love connaughton but if he starts to get gimpy, sam could fill that role pretty good and he would be closer to his dentist ;D

My guess is Sam will sign whatever the Celtics offer him. Playing on Championship team with GM, Coach and Teams best players in your camp is hard to turn down.

Sam is very valuable to the overall scheme of Celts roster construction given his low level comp and strong performance in his role on the second team.

Even after a silent verbal to UW? Wow.

Like pretty much every MU fan, I thought it sucked when Sam and Joey announced they were leaving.

But the schadenfreude was sweet when each of them rejected Madison for a second time.
