Seriously, it's nice to see socialism get so thoroughly embraced. Mamdani is smiling.

Not socialism, corruption and scam.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

It can be both.

An example of socialism is when a corporation is "owned and controlled collectively by the people, sometimes through a democratic state."

So the government taking stakes in this  corporation and Intel and others - especially large enough stakes that give the government a say in the boardroom - is definitely socialism.

But yes, it's quite likely also corruption and a scam.

I mean, it does for those of us with plenty of money. Wealthiest country in the world, baby! Even with all of these do-nothing poors that 'work' all day or whatever.

Yes, most AI companies will go bankrupt the revenue to debt projections to succeed are insane. It is the dot.com bubble on steroids.

Nvidia is making a bet on OpenAI that it is a winner in this mess and will be tied to them infrastructure wise.

OpenAI says they're booking 13b of revenue, driven 70% by consumers using ChatGpt. However, they also are quoted as saying if they had ten times the computing power, they'd come close to 10 times the revenue.

Are they suggesting they're turning away hundreds of millions of people wanting to subscribe...?

I have been saying for a while here that Trump is using the tariffs as a way to make even more money for him and his friends.

Absolute manipulation of the market.

From Axios: CEOs Brace For Stagflation

A key gauge of CEO confidence slipped into negative territory, Axios' Emily Peck writes from a survey of executives out this morning.

Why it matters: It's a sign of the uncertain business environment, as leaders grapple with a constantly changing policy landscape, particularly around tariffs.

By the numbers: 64% of CEOs are preparing for a mild slowdown and higher inflation — a one-two punch known as stagflation.

81% expect AI to reshape most jobs in their company within 5 years.

Only 22% said they were preparing for a "balanced economy with trend growth and gradual reduction in inflation pressure."

Yes, though strangely enough, my "U.S. Dollar down" investment (UDN) is only breakeven for me at this point.

Rather than the yuan, they are aiming to replace it with crypto, just like Thiel and Sacks yearn for.
