Man, H1bs are too complicated and expensive for smaller companies anyway. I've just been hiring people in other countries and offering them a US salary. On this note, as China has pivoted to Argentina, Argentina's economy has cratered.  Luckily for them, sounds like America First is going to give them a bailout.

Honestly, true. But at the same time, the execs I talk to are still having trouble finding good talent. Unemployment must be asymmetrically impacting individual contributors, which makes sense with the (hopelessly over-optimistic) impact of AI automating businesses

There are two stock markets right now. One is being pushed ever higher by a handful of big AI names. The other is barely staying afloat. It will be interesting to see if Everything AI can keep this up, and for how long.
