Aaron Rodgers was great as host, and the "question" asked by the defending champion was hilarious.

It sounds like he had a ton of respect for Trebek and really watched a lot of tape to try and do it justice.

I didn't get to watch, but sounds like he did pretty well.

Rodgers ending up as the permanent host of Jeopardy would be a funny and weirdly in character chapter of his life.

Especially if we walked away from football this year to do so.

Just watched an episode and Rodgers did a great job. He really respected the Jeopardy franchise and what the game is all about. I am rooting for him to get the  permanent job.

Will Jeopardy pay him $25 mil?

As Aaron pointed out, they could easily film Jeopardy around his football schedule.
Have some patience, FFS.

Especially if he were on the Bears...their season is over by Thanksgiving.

Some real interest in having Rodgers host Jeopardy full time. Would be fantastic if they could make this happen.

Levar Burton endorses a fan petition on change.org to make him the permanent host.

Desperation move, bro.
Have some patience, FFS.

Neither my neighbor nor I like Rodgers as host.
I actually liked the Jeopardy producer who filled in a few weeks ago.

I thought Ken Jennings or Dr. Oz were the best so far, with the producer third.  Dr. Oz is a non-starter because of his fuzzy history with the truth with regards to medicine on some TV shows, or so I am told.  Rodgers is fine, but his diction is not the best.  I'm surprised, they've all done pretty well.  I always figured Brad Rutter would have been the best guy to take over.

I've thought all the guest hosts have all been fine.  Each has had their own unique presentation that works.  I think Ken Jennings and the Producer Mike Richards have been my favorite so far.

Who else is still on the guest host list besides Anderson Cooper?

I find that the people raving over Rodgers are either Packers/Rodgers fans, or others in sports related media.  He's not bad, and had a few good moments, but I didn't see the "oh my god hes a natural" star gleam that everyone in his collective camp was expressing.

Ken Jennings is a natural fit IMO

Warriors4ever

So far I'm in the Mike Richards or Ken Jennings camp. Looking forward to seeing Anderson Cooper.

Spotcheck Billy

I think Mike Richards was the most polished of the hosts. He seemed like a natural that has done this for years.

Same here. I liked him (and I am anti-Packers) but I found him too monotoned.

The mono tone is about him trying to be true to the values of Jeopardy and not making it about himself. So when he does change inflection it is a genuinely funny moment.

I haven't watched too much Jeopardy, but it seems to be trying to go with a delivery similar to Trebek's.

I'm a Bear's fan but I thought Rogers was great, easily the best of the fill ins so far.
