Maybe Sony execs were the ones leaking to Schefter.

Jennings has been the favorite right?

Dark horse is Lavar Burton for a few years and then Rodgers.

It doesn't help Aaron Rodgers' chances that he has angered a lot of his fans in the past couple of weeks.

He did way better than I expected given that he is a trivia geek and not a professional presenter, but he was a little dry.  He would never be in the running if he was just a guy off the street.

I just listened to the podcast. It does sound like they prefer someone who will do this full-time. It’s not a requirement, but sounds like a strong preference.

It's nowhere close to being a full time job no matter who takes it.

Winning is overrated. The only time it is really important is in surgery and war.

I think Mike Richards was the most polished of the hosts. He seemed like a natural that has done this for years.

Maybe the Stuffed shirts at Sony will dump this guy and bring Aaron Rodgers back into the picture

Mayim Bialik is the host for the special episodes and primetime episodes. I wonder if she’d do the daily show or if she got the part she wanted.

Total failure. Should have went with a former champion (Trebek wanted Jennings) which would have been the easy thing to do, the sympathetic thing to do, and above all the wise thing to do.

I think Jennings has had some problematic Tweets in the past.

The paragraph trying to paint all the work and preparation Rodgers did in some sort of sad sympathetic light is classic Rodgers PR.  Everybody feel bad for the filthy rich star athlete who really wanted this side hustle to work while he still had his primary job!

Should been the people's champ LeVar Burton

I think I read she did not want to give up her other acting work and if she did the daily show she would have to.
Maybe she changes her mind?

I wasn’t that impressed with LeVar Burton.
And really don’t get the Aaron Rodgers obsession here.

I've seen the previews for her new show, and her mind may be changed for her.
