insane juan made it to the nba. absolutely incredible.

Definitely the most surprising former MUBB player to make the league I can think of. He improved incrementally during his time in college. By his senior year, Juan was definitely good, but never did I think he had a shot at the pros. Good for him.

Even when he played on the TBT team last year or the year before, he did not look any different than he did at MU.  But, good for him!

In 2019. Although I don't even remember him getting a lot of playing time overall.

Yep, he was just an energy guy off the bench.

Wes went 6-for-6 from behind the arc vs Spurs after having not made a 3 this season.

Methinks he’ll make a few more.

Anyone know what Juan said to Rodney McGruder of the Pistons to start the kerfuffle?

Markus went 1-5 in 6 min last night, couple rebounds, a foul and a TO. Not sure he'll last long unless he can get that shooting percentage up.

His percentage of shots per minute seems plenty high already!  I guess he has the ultimate green light in Denver too.

Malone is on the record saying that he doesn't care if Markus makes shots as he knows that he'll make them eventually. Lack of shot making won't knock him out of the league. Absence of other developing skills might.

Rowsey doing Rowsey things in the G League

Bam.  The left-handed, double clutch triple with the and one, he made vs the Dence, is one of the greatest individual shots I have seen in my lifetime.  And of course the hammer sequence vs Creighton with three consecutive DEEP triples was special.

Jimmy passes D-Wade for second-most triple-doubles in Heat history.

Miami playing very well again with Jimmy fully healthy.

Juan with another good performance for the Warriors in their win over Orlando. 9 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes. Spent most of his time guarding Vucevic.

Averaging 30 MPG, 10 PPG and 8 RPG in six games this month.

I don't mean this as a knock on Juan in any way, but this really makes you wonder how many guys would do well if they were only given the chance.  Sports are more like show business than people realize:  Sometimes to get your big break, you just need to be in the right place at the right time.  Success happens when preparation meets opportunity, hey?

I've often thought the same.  Almost everyone in G league and on the end of the NBA bench, given 25 minutes per game with 4 NBA starters, would get 10 points and a few boards and assists. Very glad that Juan is making the best of his chance.

Absolutely. We've seen it time and time again in the history of sports. And some who were denied a shot but then suddenly got opportunities have ended up with far more than just token appearances.

I mean, Kurt Warner was stackin' shelves at Hy-Vee, for crissakes!

Or in Jamil's case success would have happen when preparation meets opportunity meets wrapping your tool/disclosing you've got herpes

Markus Howard, due to Denver's mounting injury problem, received ten minutes of playing time last night.  He was scoreless in those ten minutes and is now 6 for 29 from the field on the season, including a most inauspicious debut from three point range - 3 for 21.  I hope he continues to get some time on the floor, but he's certainly not taking advantage of his opportunities.  This is a rough start for a guy signed to a contract on his shooting ability.

Replacing Frank K in teh starting lineup it sounds like. Take that badgers.

Given that Jae is 3x the player Kaminsky is, this shouldn't be stunning.
