Juan got his first start tonight. Didn't play all that well, but still got 30 min of run. Just incredible continued development for him. Awesome to see

Andrew Rowsey had a great year in the G League , incredible 48 percent 3 Point shooting percentage 94 percent from line and 19.3 points a game.  Would be great if he could earn a training camp invite somewhere.

Seth Curry & Dame (CG, but he's in that Markus Howard not just a PG mode) come to mind as well.

There are also a number of rotation SGs at 6'1"-6'2". At this point, I think being on the wrong side of 30 hurts more. He's no one's developmental piece.

Mitchell is a freakish athlete with the wingspan of an almost 7-footer.

Lillard is one of the most talented basketball players in the world (and is a shoot-first PGs with incredible handles).

Bradley is officially listed at 6-3, but I guess DJO is closer to him in style than Mitchell or Lillard.

Seth Curry ... all right. He bounced around the league, and the G-League, for awhile before finally making his mark. It no doubt helped that he is the brother of a superstar. He got a couple of breaks and he took advantage. For some of these guys on the fringe, they need a series of breaks and then must be ready to answer the call when they get it. I root for DJO, but agree with others that his age is yet another factor - along with his height and lack of any PG skills whatsoever - working against him.

Agree - the biggest issue is his age, not his height. If he had his current skill set five years ago, plenty of teams would have been interested.

All that different? No. But he has a better handle and is a better passer. Not dramatically better, but incrementally more refined. And since he has always been on the edge between making it and not, incremental refinement is probably all it would've taken a few years back....

Curry is also an elite shooter which helps give him a role even if undersized.

DJO is a solid shooter but nothing close to what younger Curry can do

Big fan of DJO, but he simply does not have enough skills to overcome his height deficit. Similar to Vander; you have to be elite at something to make it at that height/body type. Throw in DJO's age, and it's a complete non-starter for him.

This twitterer makes a good point. I thought the reporter did an excellent job of responding to Butler in a way to advance the conversation and not make himself the story. It ended up resulting in a great quote, and a lot of humor. I'm sure that the many other reporters who also took part in this press conference ended up being appreciative.

I was hoping DJO would have gotten another chance during the 2018-19 Season when he had to play for the Iowa Wolves ( had a bad drug test that kept him out of international play). He had a very good stat line that season and was quite effective.

I agree the various factors of size and age work against him in the NBA. However, heart and winning attitude can't be measured and every once in a while a team wants a guy with some of those skills in the mix. Definitely a long shot to return to the league. The silver lining though is DJO is a true star in the European circles so he can actually play on teams where he will get paid ( which is sometimes an issue in Foreign Basketball). The way he plays  the game he can probably go for many years collecting a decent paycheck.

I suppose, but he's a completely different player. Jae is a very good role player who will have a well-paying job in the league for a long, long time; Jimmy is an All-Star.

LeBron is way better than Kuzma, but it doesn't mean Kuzma sucks. (Nor did you say Jae sucks.)
