I had some tasty egg salad today. Extra nummy with crumbled bacon.

Yum. I also add a garlic mustard aioli to egg or tuna salad.

This should be its own thread .. What snacks are you making for the Superbowl?

I'm more of a Surströmming man, myself

That and head cheese are definitely on the Super Bowl menu as well. Wash it down with Malort.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Damnit, get serious people.

I'll go first:  Pizza rolls, fresh from the freezer.

That's might be the scariest of all the foods mentioned!

But since you want serious I'll likely do  bacon wrapped dates stuffed with pepper jack on the grill to get some smoke in there.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

At work.   Big pizza, breadsticks.

Mmmmmm.   A little worried about what he might consider sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom

Giant pretzel from MU alum-owned Milwaukee Pretzel Co. with homemade beer cheese dip.

Probably some sweet chili wings.

Beer.

Spotcheck Billy

Will probably just pickup a par-baked from Marco's Pizza College in the late afternoon.

Spaniel with a Short Tail

Enjoyed watching the ND student - sporting a mullet - on college Jeopardy finish in negative numbers and not even make it to Final Jeopardy.

Living in the country, you very quickly learn to respect electric fences. A woman we know told us about her brother who, at about the age of ten, got into a "I dare you" contest with one of his friends. Her brother offered to be the first to take the dare- pee on an electric fence. She said "he never did THAT again!" I asked her if he had a long career with the Vienna Boys Choir after that. Oh- and his friend? No, he did not live up to his end of the bargain.
Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

My buddy has a cabin in Florence, porcupines were constantly chewing up the pressure treated lumber making up his steps and porch (trail cam verified).

They now have an electric fence wrapped around that, problem solved.

Ok, ok, so this just happened.

You know how in movies, the spy is handed a gun or whatever, and he knows it only has one bullet left because of the weight in his hand?

So, I'm at Arby's just now and I pick up my bag and it felt a little heavy.  I wheeled around and caught the gal's attention and pulled out a bonus Beef n Cheddar.

She's like .. "No problem, just keep it."  So I did.

The ironic thing is, I was buoyed by this bonus and I only needed one dose to forget the sadness that engulfs my existence.

TL;DR: There's an extra Beef 'n Cheddar in the kitchen.

Super Bowl = Chili

The rest is just condiments....

Here's a non sequitur - Buzz Williams, after getting himself into trouble by committing several NCAA violations, is mired in a major slump that's about to get even worse this weekend.  I can't say I'm surprised or sad to see it.  I'm so glad the fraud is long gone!

This was the karmic downside, though.
