Blea.   I don't even like my steaks too rare.   Cook that meat.

They advertise themselves as the cleanest bathrooms along the highway and they deliver.

There's a Bucees roughly halfway between College Station and Houston and it is a must stop for my wife and I every time we go to H-Town. They have some great road trip food items whether its their kolaches, brisket sandwiches, Beaver Nuggets, candied nuts, or Bucee brand jerky, it's all good.

Topper, I think this guy just challenged you to a duel.

"The closest I've come to an Arby's since lockdown was watching one burn during the protests in Minneapolis."

That is so sad on multiple levels.

And the words below heighten the intrigue. He claims to 'love' Arby's more than anybody, yet he calls the sandwiches 'deliciously mediocre?' This could get ugly....

I didn't choose to be Mormon, or to grow up in the South, but those conservative structures did give me comfort — they provided an uncomplicated worldview, one with easy answers. I sometimes wonder if that's what I indulge in when I eat these deliciously mediocre roast beef sandwiches, the fantasy of having something in common with the people I was once surrounded by and have now so fully abandoned.

This one hits a little close to home....

A Russian agent sent to tail opposition leader Alexey Navalny has revealed how he was poisoned in August -- with the lethal nerve agent Novichok planted in his underpants.

Which is why I never wear them.

So you choose to poison all of those around you instead...

I do it for the cost savings...but avoiding being poisoned is a definite perk.

Saw the Decade Long General Manager of Real Chili yesterday and had him to a party at one of our places in February 2020. The Old  GM of Real Chili is a Big Hitter and Nice Kind Person like the Dalai Lama.

Any of y'all tried Oculus or a similar VR device? Do they really give you the "in the middle of the action" feel like the commercial implies?

If they are as good as advertised, I think it would be awesome to try something like bobsledding, ski jumping or driving an IndyCar.

A guy at work has an Oculus and brought it in .. I used it for 15 minutes or so.

It was .. kinda neat, but the games I tried were not amazing.  It's cool, I think my kids would use it for a few hours, but I that's about it.

We git them for our boys last Christmas.  They rarely use them.  I've played around with it more than they have.  It's a novelty, nothing more.

Some of the videos are cool but not enough content yet.  The NBA has games in VR, so if you like that, it might be worth it.    Haven't played any games on it.

The biggest indictment of the system is probably the fact that my kids' favorite thing about it is the cat daycare homescreen video.

Thanks 'Topper and Ziggy. I kinda figured it would be limited, given the relatively modest price.

Maybe I'll wait a couple more years....

I'd wait.  The tech requirements to run quality VR games is pretty high... and therefore not a lot of people have them... so studios don't develop them.

Typically, if you're developing a game, you want it to run on multiple platforms, and be able to run really well on the lowest tech specs... so you can reach the widest audience possible.

10. Bring home the bacon

The phrase "bring home the bacon" originated back in the 12th century when a church in England offered a side of bacon to any man who could swear before the church that he had not fought or quarreled with his wife for a year and a day. Any man who could "bring home the bacon" was highly respected in his community.

Risk is the worst game in human history.

After 4 hours we had to invent rules to make it go faster.  Another hour, no one won and we all quit hating each other with the force of a thousand suns.

Nice job, Hasbro.
