Which prompted one of the top ten all time greatest Kinja comments:

"Horton, Here's a Poo!"

I laughed.

Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Just picked up lunch at the local neighborhood co-op grocery store near work.  Good food, friendly people.

Is there some kind of rule about washing your hair and co-op's that I don't know about?

Yep. It's right below the rule requiring men to wear sandals and socks when it's above 60 degrees. I hope you didn't violate that one too....

Anyone follow Marquette on LinkedIn?  Good pic of senior week in my newsfeed.

Not I, but I will check it out. But that raises an interesting question:

Which "social media" sites (not counting message boards like this) do Scoopers use on a regular basis? By "regular basis," let's say it means you at least check at least every day or two (vacations excluded) to see what's up.

For me, it's one: Facebook.

I have accounts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter, but rarely check them.

Twitter always. Facebook maybe every other day. Instagram and LinkedIn weekly.

Just Facebook, near daily.

I have accounts elsewhere, but it's rare.  Twitter if I'm bored.  Linkedin if I need to stalk someone.

warriorchick

Facebook - all the time.

LinkedIn - haven't used since my last job search.

Instagram - I look at (mostly the posts of my kids and Nattie, the MUPD police dog) but don't post.

Snapchat - never post, look at occasionally.

Twitter - using more often than I used to; probably once a day.
Have some patience, FFS.

Facebook: for events, places to eat in Chicago or any city I might be headed, and to manage my calendar.

LinkedIn: never

Twitter: Never

Snapchat: wayyy more than I should.

Instagram: I follow a lot of breweries and food blogs on there as well so I check that occasionally but don't post often.

MySpace: every 5 years
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

I have shown addictive some qualities regarding Twitter.  The whole "what did I miss?".  Finishing (hopefully) a week on jury duty today has shown me I can cut back/stop if need be.

I've cut back on Facebook after hiding most annoying friends.  Much less to look at now.

No others.

I have gone through the whole addictive thing on Facebook...to the point where I would check it pretty much any time I looked at my phone. So I decided (very deliberately) to cut back to 3-4 times per day and discovered that life goes on. It took a little while before the "what am I missing?!?" feeling went away, but now it feels right just checking in a couple of times a day. I've even gone a day or two without checking at all, and only realize afterwards.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Despite being a millennial I am allergic to social media. I never check facebook unless I need to message someone whose phone number I don't have. I don't have instagram, snapchat, or linkedin. I actually have a pintrest which I use as an online recipe book. The one I check daily is twitter, but I have a rotation of college basketball talking heads that I check once a day for any major recruiting/transfer news. I rarely tweet.

On a related note - does anyone follow any celebrities (major or minor) that actually respond to your tweets?

I follow very few people I don't know personally, but a couple that I don't, Matt Hamilton (the curler) and Charlie Behrens (the Manitowoc Minute guy) almost always acknowledge my tags  or comments.

Butch Lee, indirectly.

I follow Al McGuire's Wit, Wisdom and Warriors on FB. Occasionally I will comment on a memory of Butch or the championship team, and Butch has liked or replied to a couple of my posts.

I don't mean to brag but Jim Mcillvaine and Ben Steele have both responded to in game tweets of mine.  Markus Howard's Mom once liked a tweet of mine during a game as well.

So I've got that going for me...which is nice.

Seth Davis and I had a back and forth over transfer rules about five years ago.  (It was my JB moment - he didn't understand something completely.)  My son, who follows Seth but not me, told me I "clowned him."  I guess that's a good thing.

Got you beat - Jim McIlvaine retweeted a picture of me.  I forgot to mention him originally - being such close buds with him and all, I don't think of him as a celebrity 8-)

Mac and I banter back and forth during games Twitta.  Jake Tapper retweeted some of my things, but I've had to unfollow him since he became the Jay Bilas of twitta.

Snapchat only to Brett Farve the ladies.

Facebook, I have everyone blocked.  I used it to get updates on the kids' schools, sports, etc.  That's it.  Like it that way.

Don't have an Insta, my space, whats app, etc.

Linked In 1-2 x's per month, more when job hunting, mainly to see where people are working.  Don't post articles or any of the other crap on Linked In.
