I'm not happy people haven't surveyed their fridges for a condiment count.

This is for science, people.

I’m going to say 27. That includes two jellies and hummus.

Hot sauces, salad dressings count.  Jellies?  Hmm, I mean, that's an ingredient.  It's not like you're going to have a peanut butter sandwich and dip in it jelly.

This list sucks:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condiment#List_of_condiments

Then there's this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_brand_name_condiments

Vlasic Pickles are a condiment?  No the hell they are not.  Pickled relish, maybe.  Not whole pickles.

Wikipedia sucks.

29 but that's between the kitchen and garage fridge with no duplicates i.e. backup bbq/tiger sauce/etc.  Also, hummus or sha-ata or any other primary dipping substance is not a condiment.  If they are condiments so are pickles and you can bump me up to 35.

Speaking of pickles....i'm on a spicy run and Famous Daves Devil's Spit are my current go to.  i know they're fairly generic but a plus to any wrap or panini (maybe grilled cheese.  i don't really do that kinda thing)

What 8 hot sauces are you refrigerating?

I use hummus instead of mayo/mustard on sandwiches often. Counts.

Ditto. Far more often than we use it as a dip. I’m counting it. I’ll remove the jelly. I’m at 25.

Unless it's a craft hot sauce, I don't refrigerate. Frank's, Tobasco, Sriracha, etc are in the cabinet.

Deli-sliced Pepperoncini count as does Giardiniera.  Whole refrigerated peppers don't. I forgot the damn soy sauce. 12

I like the crispness of a nicely chilled Worcestershire though.

I don't dip things in hot sauce...I put hot sauce on top, just like I put my jam on top of my toast.

Salsa and hummus aren't condiments, they are food.

Instead of soy sauce, anyone use Bragg's liquid aminos?  much better for you than soy sauce.

I'm not happy people haven't surveyed their fridges for a condiment count.

This is for science, people.

I haven't gone to count yet... but I do know that it is 92% of the contents of the refrigerator.   The other 8% is beer and an old container I'm afraid to open.    Does that help?

We like to tell people that we live a European lifestyle where we buy our food fresh daily.   And by "fresh" I mean boxes of Mac'n'Cheese or frozen pizzas.
