So for fun, I looked up the release date of the drone that was referred to as 'obsolete.' It was released on April 30, 2017. But now it's obsolete. And it was taken out of the sky by a bird that evolved millions of years ago.

Dogs are better in that they are always happy to see you, and you have far more influence over how they behave.

Cats are better in that you can just leave them at home when you go on vacation for a week, and they poop in a small, easily scoopable box instead of all over the yard.

And yeah - either one is just a pet, not another human in the family.

When I'm out riding my bike, I have been chased by dogs several times. I have never been chased by a cat.

(FWIW - the worst are red-winged blackbirds. I've been chased by them many times.)
