You know what I like?

Recharging batteries.   It gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Like, even if I wasted most of the day, by god, these batteries are ready to go.

It takes all day to recharge your Android?  Perhaps it's time to switch to Apple.

Rocky doesn't pay us enough to afford iPhones.

Also, my Android charges in about an hour, so yay for that.

What would be really cool is that if you had an actual android.

Which would make for better reading: Scoop as it (presumably) exists today, with humans interacting virtually over a message board; or Scoop with AI computers interacting with each other?

And what are the odds it's really the former?

To me the simple truth is all the dogs I'v had have provided a better Companionship than other animals I'v had.  Not even close.

Just curious: when you compare dogs to other animals you've had, have you ever had a cat? Or are you comparing your dogs to a goldfish or ant farm?

I've had a number of cats and dogs.  IMO dogs are by far better companions.  Now that's likely because they provide the companionship I am looking for.  (Taking my dog for a walk in the morning is a great start to my day.)  But I've had both and know what I prefer.

Dogs are awesome, but don't overstate their loyalty. If you die and no one's around to stop them, they won't hesitate to eat you, starting with your face.

"Yes, your pets will eat you when you die, and perhaps a bit sooner than is comfortable. They tend to go for the neck, face, and any exposed areas first, and then, if not discovered in time, they may proceed to eat the rest of you," Rando told BuzzFeed over email.

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/natashaumer/cats-eat-your-face-after-you-die

And the worst of it is, some of them will skip their normal dog food to eat for ears and nose instead.

In 24 percent of the cases in the 2015 review, which all involved dogs, less than a day had passed before the partially eaten body was found. What’s more, some of the dogs had access to normal food they hadn’t eaten.

https://www.nationalgeographic.com/news/2017/06/pets-dogs-cats-eat-dead-owners-forensics-science/

This kind of thing happens every year all over the world. Every year these cases crop up somewhere in the world—someone dies of natural causes (or by his own hand), his face or head is nowhere to be found, and there's a German shepherd nearby, along with plenty of uneaten dog food.

I love dogs.

I love cats, too, as long as they are under my tire as I back out of the driveway.

I love you...as long as you feed me and play with me and take me out for walks! And if you ever stop, you'll be the first thing I eat....
