That and Rob Judson, who cannot recruit off-campus, has plenty of experience as  head coach and assistant running a practice.
Why is that?

There's people far better versed at speaking to recruiting than I am, but this is at least like finding a $20 bill in a rarely worn coat pocket.

Part of reclassifying to 2018 is obviously wanting to play now. Duke and Kansas have to be pretty much ruled out with their classes coming in. Kentucky was on him, and would probably find a way to make it work, but they have Herro and Quickley coming in. UNC and Nova have 5 star PG's already committed. Who knows what will happen with Arizona.

MU offers him immediate playing time, with a potential top 20 team next season. I know MU missed on Grimes, but if I were Woj, I'd tell Hagans "look, we went all in on Grimes because he's a high caliber PG who we can offer immediate starting minutes to, and that's why we're here for you." The timing of this at least works out incredibly well to MU's advantage. Absolutely nothing to lose and all to gain, with the majority of bluebloods seemingly on the outside here.

It'd be the ultimate irony, and admittedly this is a reach on my part, if the dominoes of Grimes committing to Kansas and Herro committing to Kentucky lead to Hagans coming to MU.

Everything Dish said...plus the departure of Andrew. "Look how much Rowdy got to play and score... We want you to fill in that hole." They're different kinds of players, but it's a scoring and minutes gap at his position. Gotta be tempting for guy looking for immediate playing time

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Grasping here, but I don't think it hurt that we had a recent home and home with UGA. If anything, sell that we'll schedule a home and home with Ga Tech for him.

Putting it another way, you can pretty much be certain Georgetown isn't making that same offer with the way they schedule.

I'm sure they're on the phone working out a home and home with Atlantic Sun powerhouse Kennesaw State.

Man, you leave scoop for like two days and all of a sudden were in the mix for a 5 star PG.

All aboard the Hagans bandwagon.

I don't really care if he shoots like Derrick Wilson ...

I do.

Nobody shoots that badly. Not even my dog!

We need a point guard and this young man sounds like the real deal. If he's 2/3rds of what we think he is, he would be an outstanding complement to what we have and what we have coming in.  Does anybody know... can he play defense enough that he won't give up a shot like the last shot in regulation of the Georgetown game?

Here's hoping.....

With 21 offers so far, not including those who offered after he decommitted, he has many options.

I agree, while I am hoping for the best, but this seems a bit like a cold call at this stage.

Looks like an opportunity for Wojo to bring out the ice cream truck...Hagan-Daz for everyone!

HILLTOP SENIOR SURVEY from 1984 Yearbook:
Favorite Drinking Establishment:

1. The Avalanche.              7. Major Goolsby's.
2. The Gym.                      8. Park Avenue.
3. The Ardmore.                 9. Mugrack.
4. O'Donohues.                 10. Lighthouse.
5. O'Pagets.
6. Hagerty's.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

1. Forget those old offers, pay attention to who gets involved now. But I'd expect any high major needing a PG at least inquires.

2. My pitch would be a) playing time, and b) being surrounded by great shooters. Really play up Markus lead the nation in 3pt pct as a frosh and Sam is leading or near the top this year. Ashton will have either wide open driving lanes to score or great shooters to pass to and rack up assists. Plus, Brett Nelson can help Ashton improve his shooting. Turn a weakness into a strength.

3) He's a Georgia kid that was committed to Georgia so there is a decent chance he watched at least one of our games.  If he has, then he is at least familiar with our style of play.  The game last year is a great example so hopefully Ashton saw it.

Not bad. I was thinking an Aston for Ashton but ice cream will probably draw less scrutiny.

I could be wrong, but I'm reading this as an in home visit, not just coaches going to down to watch him. Recruits have to at least agree to have an in home visit. So there's a least a small bit of interest in the Hagans camp.

So, who runs practice if we send the entire staff on Wednesday?
Serious question, don't we have a somewhat meaningful game on Saturday?

So you're saying the team is unable to have an early morning practice that enables he entire staff to fly out?  Come on....

I know these are hype vids and whatnot, but good distributor, plays hard through contact and appears to have an improved shot (doesn't need to be a shoot first guy...would rather have him slash and distribute).
