One thing I really need some help with.  Is 1, 2 and 4 available scholarships still accurate with the recent comings and goings? Remember the 'rule' that every available scholly is claimed by a 4 year guy and no transfers are assumed.

Edit: I think '20-'21 becomes 5 because of Ed Morrow.  Agree?

We have two scholarships for class of 2018.  One carrying over from this year and one from Rowsey using up his eligibility.

One of these is spoken for by Brendan Bailey.

If we fill those with no transfers, we would have 2 for class of 2019.  (Heldt and Cheatham leaving)

We would have 5 for 2020 (Morrow, Anim, Hauser, Howard, Frolling leaving)

I attended Mcquaid Jesuit and have been following Isaiah for two years now.  He was injured much of this past season and the team really improved when he got back.  He looks like a legit prospect.  I believe he has been invited to some USA basketball camps.  From what I have heard around the school and what I have read in the quarterly news letters from the school, he really likes Georgetown and the fact that they have offered makes me think they are currently the leader in the clubhouse.  If Syracuse comes offering, they could possibly make some noise in his recruitment.

We agree. That's why at this moment we have one available for kids graduating in May '18.

MUFINY's scouting process:

Perhaps true some of the time. Also depends on how much the prospect has had to drink. His chances significantly increase if they're drunk

Probably more to do with how much MUFINY had to drink.

This is good news because Stewart is close to Jeenathan. If we can sign up Jeenathan may have a good shot at Isaiah .

Okay guys, with the new offers out there I have officially closed the book on the '17 recruits, turned the page, and reassigned that one available scholarship to next year's class.  I've added the names that were announced via tweet yesterday.  Again, I sincerely appreciate everyone's contribution in keeping the list fresh. Please take a look and give me input as appropriate.

I hear Kent McIlvaine is moving on from us.

Well, if Kansas, Texas and Zona are "recruiting him the hardest" it's safe to say we're out.

I expect you'll see Wojo camped out nearly every one of the Iowa Barnstormers games this July and the assistants will be watching some 2018 recruits, but maybe more 2019 prospects.

Can someone remind me why Joey plays on an Iowa AAU team?

Because it is a much better organization than any of the WI programs. He was with the WI Swing and WI Blizzard before that. IMO Barnstormers recruit great players, but most of the kids are team players and play within a system. Typically the best programs in WI are Playground Elite and Playground Warriors; they put together rosters of the highest-rated players, but they don't always seem to have success because they are all fighting for exposure and don't really play team ball. For instance, Herro, Justice, Curtis, Trapp, Plumb, Foster Jr. are all rated high but Playground Elite is 2-14 in the EYBL.

To me, Barnstomers recruit more mature players and parents who get it (just my opinion). J. Hauser was on WI Swing with his father's college teammates' kids (Listau & Steffen). His dad's friends also coached the team. It is a pretty solid team filled with good players. On good days, they can beat the PE EYBL team. But I think he had to leave that team because they were just not at his level. It's fun to watch the Barnstormers -- Hauser, Weiskamp (6'8 Iowa recruit), and AJ Green (4star, great shooter) -- play together. It's like a mini college team. PE just roll out the ball and play.

It's interesting that Joey hasn't grown since he was 6'8" in his freshman year.

6'8" with shoes then with smaller shoes then with socks now barefoot?

I feel like basketball players are always somehow listed two or three inches taller than they actually are

He was 6'6" as a frosh.  Saw him and Sam play in the WBY tourney at Concordia.  He was not 6'8" then.

Hope they can make headway, but I'm very pessimistic about our chances with Johnson.

Ty Mosley (2018) from Orr is visiting Marquette sometime this week.

Also, Jalen Johnson (2020) just got an offer from Marquette.
