It's interesting that Joey hasn't grown since he was 6'8" in his freshman year.

There has been serious neck improvement since then though which is an excellent sign. He is Big East material for sure .

Johnson is reportedly a BIG Wisconsin fan and is part of an AAU program (Playground Warriors) that regularly sends kids there...and rarely sends them to MU.

I mean I don't know for sure, but aren't a lot of the guys back home right now?? Is Sam even on campus?? I'm pretty sure Joey sees his brother enough that this isn't just a trip to hang out with him. My big question would be, given the semi weird timing of this, could we hear about a verbal coming??

Doubtful.  If it happens it's a pleasant surprise, but I certainly wouldn't be expecting it.

But whether it is going to hang out with his brother or being shown around the campus by coaches (for the umpteenth time), having him on campus can't hurt...unless it's the opposite of what you're hoping for and he's just coming to let Wojo and staff know in person that he's narrowed his choices down and Marquette is no longer on his list.  Which is even less likely than a commitment.

Just saw can't take officials until first day of senior year starts? If that is correct then can't do it now. And lol seems like paying for his ice cream would be a violation in unofficial.

I'd love to land Joey (who wouldn't?), but I am not going to lose much sleep if we miss out on him.  He has some serious concussion concerns, and a guy like Race Thompson or LeDee wouldn't be all bad.

Admittedly, I forgot all about that. That being said Matty V phrased it as an "unofficial" visit. I suppose thats technically true but it would have been more apropo to tweet "Joey Hauser will attend MU hoopla event this weekend". That kills all speculation/rumor mongering right there.

Local kids take unofficials to schools all the time.  I don't think it should really start any speculation/rumor mongering. He's just as likely to commit at the hoopla,  as he is on another unofficial,  or just sitting at home.
