Well, certainly seems to be hinting at something...
Joey?  Soft verbal?  Please!

Page 1 chart updated.  That's a helluva lot of guys for next year when we have zero available slots at the moment!  Now I have no doubt at least one of this year's will slide to next year via an open scholly or an as yet unsigned grad transfer.

Anyone we 'cooled on' for next year that's still on my list?

I heard some of the guys can't handle our fake rigorous academics.

I'm confused. Don't we have two open slots at the moment?

2 for next season.  If we use them this year on anything other than grad transfers, we have 0 for 18-19.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Wojo has 9 in home visits lined up over the next 10 days, per Matt Velazquez:

http://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/college/marquette/2017/04/07/marquette-entering-busy-recruiting-stretch/100166460/

Joey Hauser.

Jemarl Baker

Ed Morrow

Khavon Moore (2018 SF ranked #9 in the country)

Quentin Grimes (2018 PG ranked #16 in the country)

Jaedon LeDee (2018 PF ranked # 57 in the country)

Jarvis Thomas

Race Thompson

Torrance Watson
After these visits Wojo should have a good idea on how to use or not use this year's open scholarships.

Maybe it's a banquet announcement like in the #donedeal episode. Shall we prepare the bunker in case?

True, but don't forget MU is allowed to oversign by 1.

Wojo can sign 1-3 in the fall depending on how many he uses this spring. Of course, there can always be attrition to open up even more.

I haven't forgotten.  I was answering the question.  Oversigning is always an option.

D Wade is retiring and joining the noon ball league at the Al?!

George Thompson III is joining the staff to coach the defense?!

Wojo is finally leaving and Stan can be the head coach!

Okay, here's a reminder of the 'Glow rule'.  By definition, ALL available scholarships (up to 13) are to be immediately used for FOUR YEAR players who will remain for the full tenure of their eligibility.  So the assumption is that both currently available schollys will be used for incoming '17 Frosh.  Any deviation from the 'Glow rule' (like the signing of a grad transfer) will immediately result in an updated calculation upon announcement.  No availability will be ascribed to 'over-signing' although we know that a coach is allowed to exceed the limit by ONE up until students start school in the Fall of any given year.

The one thing I take interest in is the fact that Wojo is willing to sign one more '17 Frosh if the situation is right.  Jemarl Baker.

I am always for getting more talented freshman,  like Markus over Traci. Transfers I'm more cautious with. If a sophomore leaves because the freshman is better,  no biggie because you have the freshman for three more years. If the freshman leaves because the transfer junior is better, then you could have a gaping hole at the position when the transfer graduates.

Again,  not saying don't get transfers. I love transfers.  With all my heart.  Just saying its not a no brainer like recruiting better freshman.

Reasonable as usual, TAMU.

I think my ideal situation would be Baker and Koulechov, then Joey in 2018. Though it'd be interesting to see how minutes panned out.

Agreed. I like that he is making this sort of move. "If it fits, then I do it."

You moved off your WE MUST HAVE ANOTHER PG IN 18 train pretty quickly.

Although, Baker can probably play some PG if needed.

My preference is Koulechov and Morrow.  I feel like well have a spot for a PG in 2018.

That said, I will be absolutely ecstatic if we land Baker.

If we could beat out Kentucky, Duke and Arizona for Baker we take him in a hearbeat!  Another shooter to go along with the freshman size coming in.

And something Wojo should know within a couple of weeks at most.  Absolutely worth a plane ride.
