FWIW, Wojo has started following Ed Morrow on Twitter (and he has started following Wojo).  Transfer from Nebraska.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

GGGG

Morrow would be a traditional transfer with two years remaining correct?

Morrow wouldn't seem to make a whole lot of sense unless it is believed that Joey is headed elsewhere.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

Morrow is more of an undersized 4 while Joey is more of a 3 or a stretch 4.  I mean, Morrow hasn't taken a three point shot in two years.

What does Morrow provide?  Rebounding?  Interior toughness/defense?  I know nothing about him but if that's what he provides then heck yes.

I don't perceive the issue to be that they play the same position, I agree, they don't.  I see it more that they'd enter that season with officially 3 guards on their roster (but really 2 considering one has a real problem handling the ball).  Granted a lot of development can happen between now and then but that could put a lot of pressure on Howard and GE bringing the ball up.

He is an excellent rebounder. Great motor. Played primiarly the 5 with Nebraska, but is more your prototypical 4. Athletic, cleans up around the rim and puts down nasty dunks. Supposedly left Nebraska because he wants to play the 4.

He would be an excellent get.

Morrow is the kind of tough inner city inside player we need . I like that he is a traditional transfer as well.  He will have a year to fine tune his game , get stronger and build relationship with team.  Then come in the next year ready to go.

OK got it.  I think that they will continue to recruit guards though because I am sure we will have an unexpected departure between now and then.

While I would agree that Morrow + grad transfer puts us in a bit of bind for 18-19, assuming our two openings go to Bailey and Joey, in that Markus would be our only PG. But by then he'll be a junior and will be on the court most of the time. Elliot or even HC would be able to fill in if needed a few mins a game. But these things take care of themselves. Lots of time, and while everything I've heard we're in good shape with Joey, Morrow isn't the kind of guy you let go if you can get him.

We want the ball in Elliot's hands in 18-19 . He is a very skilled passer.  Will end up in lots of open looks for Markus , Bailey and Sam.

Never know, kids transfer and we may have an opening after all. Plus, from what I've seen Elliot is far more suited to run the point than HC ever was and we won 20 games in a season with him as our backup point.

This.

I have absolutely zero worries about the guards on the roster in this scenario.

So if he transfers here he will be a junior in the 2018-2019 season? If so wouldn't the classes be a little uneven, if i did it in my head correctly that would be 5 players in the junior class that year Froling, howard, hauser,Sacar and then him

If Froling does well , he will likely turn pro.

After this season? Markus Howard had one of those live videos on Instagram a couple of hours ago and Froling was with him, Froling seems like a cocky dude. I liked it, he's gonna get into a lot of players heads this season and future seasons

erubiel

The transfer year may also give Morrow an opportunity to work through recent foot injuries. Great fit for this roster, if he heads MU's way...

Can't even spell the guys name but knows he's going pro after the season.

Wait. The family told you everyone's been spelling his name wrong hey?

It's worth noting that Morrow also started following Chris Mack, and assistants from K State and Seton Hall.

So likely means that Wojo has reached out and is obviously interested, but probably not that anything is immenent.

It's possible he and Jabari are friends as they would have played together for a year at Simeon. Plus being at MU, he's closer to Chitown.
