#8 player in the country?  Count me in.

That said, isn't this the kind of guy who gets offered from everyone but then ends up at Kentucky?

I guess, maybe wojo can pull some strings and get him here would be a sweet pick up

I remember when scouts were freaking out because Kevin Durant was the first player ever to be unable bench press 185 lbs. even once. And then the Blazers took Greg Oden over him. DOH!

Just imagine if Jamal can't bench press 120 lbs. - he'll be a one and done #1 pick for sure!

He also went to basically the local school that accepted his brother as a transfer.

But was he not top 10 and recruited by every school?

Yes.  But comparing a local kid whose brother also plays here with a kid out of Georgia with no connections to the University isn't apples to apples.

Agreed, but this kid has either planned or taken a visit to Providence, so maybe he's an outlier.

Khavon has a good thick neck, so I think he will get bigger . The kid is a pogo stick with a great shot and handle. Let's sign him now .

Not really. Schools like Duke and Kentucky often don't bother going after kids from a year or two out until they are set for the upcoming season. Most of these kids won't be committing for anywhere between 7 and 14 months. They can get on anyone's radar with one call. For anyone else to get him, they have to come in early and often. For K or Cal, they have to have a phone. Those schools recruit on a different level.

Most of these schools seem to have a similar location...

I'm thinking we probably don't get this one.  WOJO SUCKS!  Can't close!

He's from the south and southern schools have offered him.  That isn't all that strange.

HoopsterBC

What is strange is why MU is going after a kid in the south?  Is Wojo wasting his time or is there a connection somewhere for Wojo to get involved?

Haanif is from Florida.
Markus is from Arizona.
Rowsey is from Virginia via North Carolina.
Frolling is from Australia via Texas

No reason not to offer him.  Just hope that they cut the cord when it becomes obvious he isn't coming here.

Will see if he visits here, that is the next step!

Lots of talent in Georgia and the home state schools aren't powerhouses so it is a good place to build relationships and attempt to steal a good player or 2.
